He diagnosed it very quickly. Within a few minutes he said it is not coming from their side, it is coming from the pipe and we went upstairs and said it is from the powder room. unknown I purchased a Big Deal for $50 for Basement Waterproofing Interior & Exterior Inspection & Analysis. He was pushy and high pressured. They did not want to hear anything I wanted them to do. He wanted to give his spiel and do all this work and I told him to leave.

I visited the customer in March 2012. Our office confirmed the appointment. She refused to meet with me for more than 2 minutes. She had me meet with her contractor who apologized for her behavior and explained this was her typical approach .I offered to come back on what might be a better day for her. No prices, products or services were discussed. Hopefully i have demonstrated a track record of professionalism with all customers
The waterproofing went fine. Very professional crew came and excavated around the perimeter of basement and installed the system then repoured the concrete. We had no issues with that work. They were punctual, cleaned up after themselves and did a good job. The major major problem was with the subcontractor the company used to re-install the wood framing and re drywall the finished room. Unfortunately, I agree with most of the homeowners comments concerning the quality of the work by the gentleman who did our studding and Sheetrock The carpenter had a problem squaring the studs to the floor. When the Sheetrock was attached it was unsatisfactory and had to be redone. We had the Sheetrock redone but was not able to satisfy the customer. We voided the invoice for the additional studding. The service was too expensive, and so I didn't go with it. There was nothing wrong with the rep that came, it was just way more than I could spend at that time. We had purchased a big deal for Budget Dry Waterproofing Inc. He inspected the basement.
I choose not to use this service. I wanted to address the causes of my damp basement. They wanted to sell me a very large, expensive dehumidifier.

1) He had no clear answers when I asked why 'inside-the-basement drains versus outside drains except to say how deep and wide outside trenches must be by OSHA standards. He didn't answer technical aspects about each system. Answering this question, I believe, is very important to home owners. Inside drains or outside drain systems each have advantages and disadvantages. In my experience, owners must search for this information. Budget Dry Waterproofing Inc. We have used them before with the basement sump pump installation, to try to prevent water coming in the basement. They were good. I got a quote from them for remodeling our basement.
