Great in every respect except - the portions were far too large for English tastes. One portion would have been at least twice the size of a portion in most UK or European restaurants. It's annoying to pay for food that can't be eaten.

Very disappointing. Everything looked nice but the food quality was very mediocre. I’m sorry I chose to come back to Cafe Fiorello. Nothing was tasty. I had special brunch dish for $30. It was a mixture of eggs and sausage patty. One one strip of bacon scrambled eggs that were cold and a pancake, which was OK nothing spectacular. There’s too many other restaurants in the area that I could go to.

I came all the way from South Texas hoping for a memorable post-opera dinner experience after an evening at the Met. Unfortunately, the service at Cafe Fiorello was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the prices and reputation. Our waiter seemed visibly bothered the entire time — no smile, no warmth, no “is there anything else I can do for you?” It felt robotic and unwelcoming. Food was served cold  glazed carrots were cold, wilted, and unappealing. The restaurant felt busy & rushed…commodity level. Far from fine dining. Not as clean as we had hoped.

The service was slow and the place was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. The food was good and it is convenient to Lincoln Center.

Although the food was good, the women’s bathroom was filthy. One of the toilets had matter in it. Toilet paper, and paper towels were strewn all over the floor. I walked in, gasped, let loose a few expletives, and walked out. I’m not sure I will ever eat there again. You know what they say, the bathroom will tell you a lot about the kitchen. Service was extremely poor. Server seemed annoyed and did not return to take our order in a timely fashion. Food was subpar.

This has been our go-to place before the opera for several years, and it had never disappointed until this time. I had the scampi on a bed of white beans. The shrimp were tough, overcooked and the rest of the plate, including the beans, was cold, not even warm. Since this was the first time we had such an experience, I chose to overlook it this once.
