We've been coming to Cafe Fiorello for 20 years. It's such a lovely restaurant, a respite from the busy city, really. This trip was a disappointment in that our waiter, while adequate, was not really responsive/available, taking awhile to begin service. My lemon chicken was overcooked to a point where it rolled up on one end. My husband found his dinner hearty, but nothing special. Ceasar salad loaded down with too much dressing. Maybe a little old. Pizza arrived at our table not hot.

Except for the pizza, food very oily and heavy . Not first time being there, similar experiences before. I ordered artichoke alla Judea .spelled (GIUDIA) Three heads butterflied , fried and literally swimming in over used were served I couldn't eat all of them, A very fine meal if prepared by an Italian Chef . Service was good but none of my guests finished their meal. If I go back I will order only Pizza. I noticed that at the end of the survey my average 4 stars became a 5 stars. Try to fix that too.

Food came out quickly but the consistency showed it was pre-made either the day before or early that morning and reheated. Eggplant would not be completely mushy if it was made to order, and meatballs came out within minutes and had the same consistency. The rest of the meal also had the same quality. Unfortunately the price does not match the quality of food leaving the kitchen.

Our table was extremely cold on a cold by day. We were near an unused fire exit and even our food got cold quickly.

Food is skimpy and completely uninteresting. I had the 3 appetizer order. Not much on the plate, table spoon or two of fave beans, mushrooms and some soggy asparagus. People go here because it’s across the street from Lincoln Center. Avoid at all costs.

Overrated. Poor value. Antipasto veggies not fresh, slopped onto plate. Very cursory service. Extremely overcrowded and noisy restaurant. Not impressed.

Go here often. Never had bad service before last night. Food hit the table before we got our drinks. Got our appetizer when we were already halfway done with the meal. Waited the entire meal to order a second drink because we were ignored by the waiter most of the time we were there. Reminded why we only drink wine here because the cocktails were not good. Place was busy but not full. Extremely disappointed.
