Despite asking for a "quiet" section, we were seated in a room with two large, loud & obnoxious groups who proceeded to ruin a special occasion meal. Very poor treatment of a regular customer.
I started with the butternut squash lasagna, which was lukewarm and boring. The server did not offer any grated cheese; I had to ask. There was no bread for the table; even a little bit--I was a single guest--would have been nice. The fennel sausage and (sweet) peppers thin-crust pizza was O.K., but the sausage was much less flavorful than I was expecting. Overall, it was a very bland, unexciting meal.
This place exudes "churn and burn". They want to get you in and out as soon as possible. The food reflects this -- not made with any kind of precision or attention to detail. That would be ok if this place were a diner or a luncheonette -- but this place claims to be a legit restaurant. This is the second time I ate here and the food has been exceedingly mediocre at best. Disappointing.
Everything was fine EXCEPT checking our coats and my hat. One of your employees stuck my hat, an expensive fedora, INTO THE SLEEVE OF MY COAT. Now it needs to be relocked,. to say the least. Then the person who retrieved it laughed in my face about it.
Very mediocre food. Tiny restrooms. Too expensive for what it is. Atmosphere is riotous, so it appears people like going.
We selected this restaurant from good reviews so we're very surprised and disappointed to find the food subpar. A good start, the gorgonzola bread loaf was delicious. However, next, the Caesar salad was, sadly, lacking lemon and flavour. My husband's delicious sounding ravioli were completely gummy. My spaghetti w tomatoes required salt or something. I had asked and was told which 4 pastas were available in half portions, the tomatoe spaghetti being one. I clearly ordered a half portion. When an obviously full portion arrive... read more
Rude host, overpriced and relatively bland food, terrible pre-opera choice
Have been here before, just never for brunch. Not a good experience overall. * Reservation state I wanted a window table (several were empty) stuck us in the back dark lit room. we tried to explain to the hostess who seemed not to understand. Manager corrected issue. * Food- average, over cooked omelets. My salmon with onions. large but more onions than salmon. Bagel okay but cream cheese not spreadable. Husband's 3 cheese omelet seemed to be not very cheesy and not flavorful. Fries skimpy. * Very poor service overall. Waite... read more
The food has not been as good as used to be but still okay. However more tables have been added and it is very tight. It has many options for food and drinks. I will still go back at a time not before an event at Lincoln Center!
