I have been a regular here for many years. Yesterday was atypically poor experience . I had requested a specific table type when reserving, to accommodate orthopedic condition, as I always do there. Not only wasn’t that provided but the maitre d was rude and not apologetic. The waiter offered a no cost comp drink, and then charged for it. It was a business meal, embarrassing, and physically problematic. Prices are too high. Food is great.
Extremely noisy! Average food and service. We won’t return.
I changed my reservation from two people to one person and was put at a table right in the front that was quite crowded. I find the two hosts to be quite rude. Not to me, but to people that have a disability. One of the hosts knocked into a man who had a cane and if it wasn't for the man's friend, he would've fallen on the floor. Not going back. Tiny portions. Overcrowded and noisy. Overpriced !! 4 ravioli on a huge plate? Really? Dave your time and money MANY better options near Lincoln center!
Pasta dish was limp and soggy. Calamari was dry. All seemed to be prepared an hour in advance. No check room at entrance. Best dish was pizza. Stick to the pizza.
i thought the food was decent when I ate there two years or so ago. The eggplant parmesan was nicely done with lightly bread bread crumb with a tomato sauce ( it was kind of bland at that time already:0) Went back for Easter, and was totally disappointed. Either the chef changed or too busy for the holiday, the kitchen came up with a mushy tasteless eggplant parmesan dish! The sauce remained bland where the soggy batter of the egg plant swam in. Where was the parmesan cheese?!! Will not go back there again!
Unnecessarily pretentious staff for place been coming for decades
My scrambled eggs were not done enough, the bacon was hidden under the salad and no bread was served or was I asked if I might want some or a pastry. Presentation was not good.
Fiorello used to be a favorite spot for fabulous antipasti. Visit in early March was a big disappointment. Small antipasti servings one of which was a very large inedible asparagus spear, a second a very small slice of a vegetable tart. The raab was good and garlicky and a decent portion. Service was pushy and rushed. Quality of the pasta dishes was too much pasta (which is cheap) and very little in the way of sauce. No longer worth the money.
