Chicken was off. Couldn’t eat it. Sent it back. No apology. They couldn’t have cared less. Also the chocolate mousse, which is usually amazing, was chalky and the whip cream was watery. This was one of my favorite places to go before Lincoln Center shows. But they’ve lost their sparkle, and life’s too short to eat at bad food with rude service. Goodbye Fiorello. I’m going to Bar Boulud or The Smith from here on out.
The Pizza is good however the person serving us was horrible. He was unprofessional. We had our Ceasar salad first and when the Pizza came he expected us to eat it on the same plate. Normally those plates would be cleared and fresh plates for Pizza. When we asked for red pepper flakes he barely grunted as he walked away. Everything was a hardship for him. Horrible service
Fiorello is wonderful - but it was not yesterday. We had a reservation but when we arrived they said a 30 minute wait. True, it was a 4:30 and a concert at Lincoln Center had just gotten out…the place was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think, people were stuffed/stacked everywhere, waiters were understandably frantic. So we decided to bail and go home. We’ll try again as their Caponata is incredibly wondeerful. Bad luck.
Very impersonal. Nobody welcoming you as you would think one would when walking into a Christmasy environment
Well decorated and kind staff - very disappointing food outside of the garlic bread.
The overall experience was poor. It was not the service or the food which was average, but the fact that the dining room packed in more tables than there was actually room for. Eating there was like sitting in the middle of Broadway at rush-hour. The wait staff attempted to navigate between tables, but could not do so without bumping into patrons. The dining room was full, and the noise level was high, but expected. What was not expected was the overcrowding.
The food was very mediocre. My salad had barely any dressing and the tomatoes were tasteless and mushy. The veal parmigiana was dry and tasteless and the veal had been beaten to a grainy pulp. It was hard not to choke.
For the first time both the food and the service was very disappointing. The server was not very pleasant and part of that might not only be the fact that is was a weekend but also that we were literally sandwiched into a corner—uncomfortable and dark. Moreover, the pancakes were bland abs barely edible. I know you can do better!
We have dined at this establishment many times over the years. It’s very convenient for before or after theatre. My husband and I like to share 3 servings from the antipasto bar, a bottle of wine and a pizza. Two days ago we asked a couple to join us. We all shared the 5 serving antipasto. My husband ordered the 4 Season Pizza, our friends ordered a Seafood Risotto to share. I decided to try the Pasta & Clams. It’s a dish I enjoy when I find myself in a fine Italian restaurant. It was not prepared well at all. It arrived bar... read more
