Disappointing visit. We nearly missed the beginning of our movie after allowing 1 hour & 45 minutes to order & eat salad and pasta. Wait staff shed no light on the huge delay between courses & was not apologetic.
A favorite restaurant--once. The food was dreadful. We won't be going back any time soon.
The veal marsala was tough. You could not have a conversation because of the noise level. The tables were too close together and in some cases too small for a party of 4.
overpriced, way too noisy, service outstandingly poor It's a pity there are so few good restaurants serving Lincoln Center where one can have decent food in an environment conducive to conversation, without struggling to get the attention of the waitstaff.
so expensive!! Unless you are eating pizza or small antipastos which are really small this place is very high for the quality of the food.. Which is not good.
Our waiter was lovely but he was the only positive thing about this place. The food was pretty bad and our table was positioned six inches from the neighbouring table which happened to have a very loud man lecturing his blind date all evening. I don't object to paying $28 for a pizza if it is great but this one was actually horrible (I didn't know you could get truly horrible pizza - it can't be that hard surely!?). All in all a pretty bad experience, we certainly wouldn't go back.
The salad plates are HUGE!!!, I ordered a Capresse salad to start, and it came w/o tomato and a huge ball (baseball size) of mozzarela cheese on top of basil and arugula -- no flavor at all, and very unappetizing. This could have fed four people. This totally killed my appetite for the main entree which was a Branzino fish. I barely touched it cause I still had that ugly salad on the table. They did not pick up plates before bringing the main entree. Our waitress was very nice, but ineffective. We saw her a couple of times d... read more
The food experience was varied. I ordered one of the roasted fish specials, and asked that it be filleted by the chef. Unfortunately, the chef filleted an entire side right onto someone else's plate, because I only received half a fish. Also, my girlfriend's veal was tough, but her friend's lasagne was fine. All in all, only an OKAY experience.
We have been going to Fiorellos regularly over many year - often before a visit to the Lincoln Center. On this occasion we were badly let down We had booked for 6:30 giving us an ample 2 hours for our meal. Seated on time, we then waited over 20 minutes before anyone took our order. After another delay we got our drinks but our first course (simple appetisers) took another half hour. The waiter was rarely around and despite my complaints our main course arrived around 8pm giving us about 15 minutes to eat it, pay and get out... read more
