Good location for going to Lincoln Center. The pear salad was plentiful and delicious; however, the Seafood pizza crust was way to thin to enjoy and made it challenging to eat. Although the seafood was fresh, the pizza got cold quickly and took away from the taste. It was not worth the $45.00. Stay away from the seafood pizza until they figure out how to make it "customer friendly."
i was disappointed that i didn't get the seating i specificallly requested. and, while the waiter was very pleasant, the service was very inefficient and sloppy ....
If you are looking for Italian Food, this place probably is not your place. Just one exmaple, I have (unfortunately) choosen the "Lasagna Aperta". It is arrived nothing like a lasagna, with one chilogramme 8!!) of "melted" cheese and on top, unbelievable, floating meat balls. Is it a joke?!?! See food antipasto with plastic texture. Never more.
Pizza is more like a Middle Eastern flatbread with salad ingredients and a few other Italian specialties. Far removed from traditional pizza. Not necessarily a good thing.
Sadly, they have changed their menu or chef a bit and the results are poor. This is our 2d visit since and the same poor result at least with the pizza marghertita and lasagna, which used to be terrific dishes. We have dined there perhaps 25 times but not again.
For many years, my favorite evening out in New York has been dinner at Cafe Fiorello, followed by the Metropolitan Opera. The combination had never let me down until this recent Thanksgiving weekend. Marriage of Figaro was first- rate, but Cafe Fiarello was a remarkable disapointment. In fact, the quality of the food was so poor that clearly it was something more than an "off night." I came away thinking that the restaurant I have loved must have changed ownership, or management, or chef. There were four of us (all CF old -ti... read more
Yes it is near Lincoln Center and it is holiday time, but there is no excuse for placing tables up against each other in section A of the restaurant. Not even a centimeter between tables! Getting in and out was like solving a puzzle. The waitress, a young woman who certainly had no charm or passion for the job, forgot to enter my appetizer order and had an attitude when my wife asked for extra sauce for her lasagne. The sauce eventually arrived as did a $2 surcharge for it! This is no way to run a restaurant especially in th... read more
Over the years, the prices at Fiorello's have gone up & the quality of the food has declined. My dinner companion said her meal was no better than a Souffers (Sp?)frozen dinner. Despite its convenient location to our apartment & Lincoln Ctr, we won't be back.
Overpriced for an adequate Italian dinner; some pasta entree portions are ridiculously small; charging a la carte for a side order of pasta is definitely pretentious and unnecessary.
Cafe Fiorello has a 4.2 star rating with 14,811 reviews.
