Good place to dine if you are going to Lincoln Center, right across the street. Fairly large inside but fairly noisy as it fills up. The restaurant became very warm to hot as the tables filled. Several patrons asked why it was so warm and were told it was because they were near the kitchen. The arugula, pomegranate salad was great with a sweet/tart taste. If nothing else, go for the chocolate mousse!!! It's an experience!
The first thing I noticed was that The water glasses were dirty . The antipasto was delicious but not a good value- the portions were very small. Fennel sausage was ok. The pizza is delicious but the dough could be a little thicker. Chicken Parmesan is outstanding!! Chicken paillard is good as lon as the chicken is cooked well done. Roasted chicken was also delicious . Tartufo dessert was excellent.
Have been coming for over 20 years and have never been disappointed
The restaurant is convenient with great service. The food is ok, but not really special.
What happened to my older points?
Authentic cuisine, great prix fixe lunch offerings and a superb choice of appetizers make this a winner. The three-vegetable antipasto plate is a meal in itself; authentic homemade soups are a welcome comfort. Hospitality couldn't be warmer.
common foods prepared in a different way. good portions.
Wow is this a HOT Spot! So lucky we had reservations as it was packed for pre-theatre/Opera. Food was excellent. We shared plates of meatballs, belgian endive salad - super yummy!, fried artichokes and roasted fennel sausage and peppers. Everything was excellent. Our waiter was also terrific. Although really really busy he always had time for us and made up feel warm and welcome. Oh and if you order the Teramiso (sp) be prepared to share - it's huge and delicious.
