I stumbled across Fiorello several years ago when I stayed on the West side . . . arrived early in NYC and needed lunch at 3:00 pm after arrival. Loved this restaurant from the moment I walked in. Since then Fiorello has been on my "hit" list. Most recently took my mother and niece for dinner on Saturday before Christmas. It was BUSTLING. Had a reservation - thank goodness. Service, food, atmosphere was all terrific. If you want quiet, limited menu, and soft music Fiorello may disappoint. If you are looking for good Italian ... read more

the food is very good, and even very late at night, after the opera, or if something runs much later than we thought, they are always so welcoming. It's a pleasure.

For my first trip back to NYC to immerse in culture at Lincoln Center, my first thought for dinner was Cafe Fiorello. The waiters ate welcoming and they sat me at Pavorotti's table. Food was great; as I remembered. It is noisy but that is part of the excitement of the place. .t

The food is good, service fine and in the little space in the back--not very noisy. And it's pretty fast service so good for getting to performances on time.

My wife and I had tickets for La Triviata at the Met this past Saturday and decided to give Cafe Fiorello a try. From their great wine list to the excellent food and outstanding service the experience was excellent. The Caprese Salad with their freshly made (made daily) buffalo mozzarella was wonderful. For entrees I had the veal Marsala and my wife had their open face Laza... read more

We hadn't been to Fiorello's for about six months - the cost was much higher and presentation disrespectful of the Tuscan table items - the caponata was as good as ever, however. Service was good but food came at weird times for diners. This used to be our go to place after the opera - we'll try other places now.

Cafe Fiorello never turns out a bad meal. The veal Milanese was fantastic. The breadcrumb coating crispy and was a very generous portion. Assist Manager David Tighe is very energetic and greets everyone with a smile and dynamic personality.

If you need a place that's old style ny with good food before a performance, this place delivers. It was a near perfect pre- opera experience.
