I took my dog to get bath today for the first time, left the dog around 10:am. I got a call around 10:30 the receptionist telling me that the Dr. check the dog and believed the dog needs medication. I've had two experiences at this clinic now and have spent over $1,000 on medical treatments for my dog. There was no follow up from the doctor, no phone calls to let me know what is happening, they are extremely disorganized when I've come in, the printer is not working to get a receipt or copy of records, the vet was not there to give me any information after 5 days in their clinic both times I've had treatments, there were no recommended treatment of follow up until after I called to get a copy of my records. I am only giving the Calabasas Animal Clinic a two because I think Dr. Fulop and Dr. Jonokuchi are excellent vets. However, their care does not compensate for the way Dr. Fowler treated me when my cat was attacked by a coyote 6 weeks ago. I rushed my cat to the VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley 6 weeks ago when she was attacked by a coyote. The care my cat received at this hospital was amazing! We have two cats and have been going to this animal clinic for some time now but mostly because of the convenience factor. One thing we've noticed is that you don't always get the same vet because the clinic has a rotating shift of doctors. I've also found that the vets always like to suggest something expensive like an x-ray for ANY problem and they suggest and x-ray OFTEN. I understand that x-rays are important, but $250 is kind of pricey to pay for something that is not urgent. For example, my cat was not using her ... read more
They give pretty good care here but every time I leave their office I'm at least $200 poorer. It seems like they "over" care just to make money. They are also located right by the freeway with no real grassy area, so that is something to consider when boarding.
Took my cat Gizmo in for a Lion King Shave. Its summer and the boy needs a new look not to mention the hair is everywhere. Gizmo needs to be sedated, heavily, for the vet and this place charges $168 for the "Gas Chamber" a box they fill with the good stuff and the entire bill was &298. . My other vet charges $45, did I over pay or what? Giz does look good but these guys are highway robbers......
