WORST veterinary clinic, BEWARE. Rude staff and all they care about is overcharging and NOT helping your animal. I took my dog to the clinic in March for an ear infection. I was charged $220 and the ear infection never cleared. Called 6 other vets nearby and not one of them charges such a ridiculous amount. Went back to the vet in May and paid another $220 for same ear which was never properly treated and ear infection is worse than before. Two weeks later, my dogs ear is in bad shape and called for a re check. Was on hold f... read more

I am so sad to write this review as my family has a long history with this clinic and have had really positive experiences until today. I understand because of the pandemic clinics are only doing curbside services and you are not allowed to go in to the appointment with your pet BUT I do believe there needs to be some leeway given some circumstances. I brought my 6 months old puppy in for a wellness exam and rabies. He has never been to a vet and has very limited experiences being handled by others especially without myself ... read more

As a business owner I don't leave bad reviews unless it's REALLY bad and I will just say this front office staff is extremely rude. I booked a simple vaccine appointment for my pup a few weeks in advance and over the phone the receptionist didn't even want to look back in his records to see what he was due for. She wanted me to find the paperwork and tell them his last vaccine dates. Eventually she did look it up because I was at work without his records on hand and it turned out that my pup was due for all 4 vaccines. The ... read more

This vet clinic is very unprofessional. Two weeks ago my boyfriend and I adopted our puppy Luna. The very next day my boyfriend took her to the clinic to examine her (because she didn't have any documents or health evaluations). We wanted to give her the shots and make sure everything is right and she is a healthy puppy. They took her stool sample and said that everything is looking good. About 2-3 days later Luna started having diarrhea and vomiting. The next day we took her to Oaks Urgent Care and she was diagnosed with P... read more

Business response:

Hi Olga, Firstly, we are sending our deepest condolences. We hope that you both find some comfort during this trying time. We just wanted to clarify - when a healthy puppy is brought in and no issues are noted by the owners or the doctor, the initial exam consists of fecal testing to ensure there are no internal parasite present and vaccination protocol education - Parvovirus testing is only run on puppies when they are symptomatic or if the owners or doctors suspect there could have been exposure to a Parvovirus positive do... read more

I never do reviews but this was the WORST experience I have ever encountered with an animal clinic. I will definitely never be bringing my animals back. Let's start off with: It's almost impossible to get through to this office. The second someone answers, they put you on hold immediately without even asking for your name. I've been put on hold for up to 15 minutes before. 2 months ago I brought in my cat as a new patient to this clinic due to unusual behavior. Due to Covid they are not letting people inside the clinic s... read more

On the recommendation of a dear friend , I took my 7 month old Shiba Inu to be neutered on 8/11. I dropped him off at 8:40am and he did not go into surgery until 7:20pm. They had an emergency with a senior pet but they did no handle this properly AT ALL. To have a poor puppy in the kennels for almost 12 hours waiting is not providing good care! I had to initiate every update via text...From 3pm on they kept telling me we are starting soon but they didn't. They finished his surgery at 8:10pm and released him to me at 9:3... read more

Business response:

Hi CC, I am sorry your visit was less than what you had expected. Unfortunately, emergency situations in the field do occur and we cannot always foresee every day's schedule. We are sorry your boy was in the clinic so long, but we do assure you he was walked multiple times, hung out with the doctors in the doctor's office and was not by any means left in a kennel all day. Please feel free to email the clinic to discuss your concerns further at NVAHVCCAC@outlook.com Sincerely, Dr. Watrobski and Cheldon

Dr. Gary Latos has been our vet for many years and we've followed him from Woodland Hills to another clinic in Agoura and then to this one. He's now moved too far for us with our three dogs. Because of the virus, I've not met any of the new vets, and I expect they're good. I met one today at my car, Dr. Zussman (I think) and she was lovely. We had two bad experiences there this week and we'll never go back. We came in a few days ago to have one of our dog's anal glands expressed. We had a 5:15 appointment. I called fr... read more

Took my cat in for surgery to be neutered. The surgery went well and my cat was totally fine. About 4 days after his surgery, I noticed a large amount of blood inside his cone. It appears as though the cone provided for by the clinic, is causing major lacerations on my cats ear. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. My cat is recovering from surgery and now has 1 1/2 inch laceration across his ear because of the cone given. PLEASE LOOK INTO YOUR CONES SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH OTHER PATIENTS.

Business response:

Christian, We are so sorry to hear you had post-operative issues with the e-collar provided - this is a very abnormal issue. Please call the clinic and speak with either Cheldon or Ashley so we can discuss the cause and how we can prevent this issue for future patients. 818.880.0888 or 818.880.0838. Thank you, All the staff of Calabasas Animal Clinic and Holistic Vet Center
