I was originally a member at the Gainey Ranch location - completely different experience than Camelback. In this past year alone my Camelback experience has included: the gym closed without notice, constant repairs, the basketball court which consumes the main body of the gym had to be redone twice (several weeks duration each time) forcing the fumes of sealant and dust to be unavoidable. When the gym was fully flooded the drywall in areas was replaced but left to question if there were mold issues which they never addressed... read more

I joined a few weeks ago and simply love it! The Pilates classes are so challenging- love them. Food- great! Pool-great! Cleanliness- cleanest gym I've ever been to! Can't give 5 stars because it's expensive, but in my opinion worth it for now!

Have been members for over ten years. Great club and lots of classes and racquet sports too. The food service is decent and as a neighborhood club it is a great place to join.

I joined the village about a month ago and I could not be more pleased. The fitness classes are top notch with a huge variety and at times that can cater to anyone's schedule. I take a yoga class there in the evenings I could not be more pleased with. The tennis courts are great here as well. I recently had a private tennis lesson and the instructor made me feel completely comfortable despite my severely underdeveloped tennis skills. Once you are a member, you just place a reservation and you can use these courts as much as ... read more

The Village member, Gabi M, was nice enough to get me a day guest pass so I could work out with her at the ungodly hour of 6:30am. Even though I was technically still on Chicago time it felt early...really early. She had signed us up for Heidi's TRX class, which isn't included in the membership ($15/person). We don't have to pay for TRX classes at my gym at home, but apparently it's a new class here. When we first checked in they told us the class was taking place on the rooftop of the gym. We headed on up and realized it wa... read more

For the price of membership this club is not worth it. The wide array of amenities are wonderful, but for a supposed hi-quality establishment the food, drinks, and snacks are the worst. It is all genetically engineered and highly processed commercial garbage. The club has antibacterial soap dispensers thru-out that I've observed members use often doing harm to their bodies and spreading that poison. Most water dispensers are filtered, but heavily iced. Their free weight and machine room is awfully small and cramped leaving n... read more

The oldest in the Village family, it is decent. The sauna/steam room/Jacuzzi looks like a public pool rather than a top-notch facility that it CAN be with a little remodeling. The yoga room, which was yoga, not hot yoga, was so humid that I almost passed out. There was steam on the mirrors and windows!! The pool is boring. The restaurant was OK. I would recommend the DC Ranch Village. Much better!!!

I've had a pretty good experience at this club all the way up until about 2 months ago. I'm usually a visitor who pays for a day pass... I was interested in joining until Laura Gilbert (sales person) decided to send me an email black mailing me telling me that if I didn't join I couldn't pay for a daily pass... Making up some bull about policy that if I'm not with a member that I couldn't purchase a daily pass when clearly the policy is you pay $30 without a member and $20 if you come in with a member. It's a sad tactic from... read more

Business response:

Hi RJ, I'm sorry you felt you weren't treated well at our club. We are a membership club, and the $30 daily fee you refer to is not available except for out of town guests who may be staying at a nearby hotel. We would be happy to have you as a guest of a member, or as a member yourself, but Laura was correct about our policies. Thanks, John Smallfield, GM

I have found all the trophy wives in the Biltmore area. They're at the Camelback Village. I'm pretty young still. I'm in my 20s, and I'm used to being one of the most energetic, fit people in my group fitness classes. I showed up at the Village dance classes expecting this trend to continue. Nope. The standard age at the Village seems to be 35-50 years old, but it caters to the 35-50 year old MARATHON RUNNERS. I'm pretty sure that the dance classes are filled with ex-cheerleaders and professional dancers. The Yoga "students"... read more
