Buying a car here is great. Taking your car to the thieves in the service department is a mistake. They thrive in lies, overcharging, and greed. Your 2 free oil changes annually for vehicles purchased after 2018 is free but not really. They'll just lie and claim you need work done to your brand new car to make up for it. You will definitely be heavily persuaded to empty your account. I hear Lafayette turner is the poster boy for this particular location for achieving this goal. Waited 2 hours just for a simple oil change. The staff were all on different pages when I asked about my vehicle status. All around a sloppy dealership. I've gotten many oil changes in the past from different dealerships but this was by far the worst.
The service department is so unorganized. Nobody can answer basic questions about how long a job will take. I was here to get a key reprogrammed. They know I'm waiting and they just park the car and then do nothing for hours.
I was looking to upgrade from a 2020 to 2021 Tahoe . The internet sales person was sending me email over emails and texts, to come to the dealership and look into the vehicles. Though in their website i can see the inventory is limited. Yesterday afternoon finally I agreed to go and talk after her persuasion. I had the pleasure to work with Scott and Ross indirectly in purchasing a 2021 Suburban. In completing a deal for a 2021 Suburban RST, I secured the vehicle with half of my down payment of $7,000.00. Scott tried to call me later that afternoon and make a recommendation to purchase another Suburban (diesel) of which I wasn't interested in. Well our staff contacted the dealership and no reply on the original key. Well ok there was a reply but not the one we wanted. No key. Like how does that happen. Who does that? At a dealership. We will not bring our fleet vehicle here ever again.
Capitol Chevrolet is stupid as hell! But most importantly the CEO of Capitol Chevrolet. Service department doesn't know what they're doing. They are slow they just love taking peoples money and act stupid as if warranties don't exist. I thought Capitol Chevrolet loved helping people out but the service department love screwing people over. Wow! Incredibly bad service! Set up my appointment over the phone to insure a smooth transaction. Was promised a loaner vehicle due to leaving my truck fora period of time. Took time off work to make my appointment only to arrive here and no loaner vehicle and my truck wasn't even going be looked at for 4 days! No timeframe on completion. I have a truck with them that always gave me problems being a single mother of 5!!! and when I tryed to upgrade even with 2 yrs having that truck they said I couldn't!!! I dealt with "Madison" and "Johnson" no comment ! I just hated the service this time around so went to another dealer and got a way better deal passing my mother the truck I wanted to trade her plan is to pay that shit off and sale it to get something better DONT RECOMMEND!!
