What You'll Do
Birdeye, the AI-powered Experience Marketing platform for multi-location businesses, is looking for a SMB Sales Manager – Inbound.
This is a high-velocity, inbound sales environment. You will lead a team of 9–12 Inbound SMB Account Executives who run 3–4 meetings per day and are expected to convert 3+ meetings to closed-won per week. This is a fast-paced motion that requires strong process discipline, coaching excellence, and relentless focus on conversion.

The market opportunity for AI-powered Experience Marketing software is massive and expanding rapidly as businesses adapt to AI-driven search and customer engagement. Birdeye needs leaders who can drive urgency, maintain quality, and build repeatable inbound conversion engines.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 9–12 Inbound SMB Account Executives operating in a high-velocity, meeting-driven sales motion
- Drive performance in an inbound environment where AEs run 3–4 meetings per day and are accountable for 3+ closed-won deals per week
- Elevate discovery, demo quality, objection handling, and one-call close execution to maximize conversion rates
- Instill strong pipeline hygiene, follow-up discipline, and urgency in moving inbound opportunities to decision
- Leverage data and performance insights to drive strategic coaching, optimize conversion metrics, and improve win rates
- Partner closely with SDR leadership to ensure seamless inbound meeting handoffs and maximize show and conversion rates
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Onboarding to improve lead quality, conversion flow, and customer experience
- Work with Sales Operations to refine reporting, KPIs, and performance dashboards that drive visibility and accountability
- Stay informed on industry trends, AI-driven search evolution, customer behavior shifts, and competitor positioning
- Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement
requirements
- BA/BS degree required, MBA a plus
- 3+ years of success building, leading, and managing a team of full-cycle Account Executives in a B2B technology company
- Experience leading teams in high-velocity, inbound or meeting-driven sales environments strongly preferred
- Proven ability to drive conversion performance in fast-paced sales cycles
- Strong coaching skills with a focus on discovery, urgency, pipeline management, and closing
- Resourceful and entrepreneurial leadership style with a strong sense of ownership
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable coaching plans
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, metrics-driven organization
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- High degree of business acumen
- High attention to detail while managing multiple priorities
