I had such great experiences with Caring Hands in Ashburn, they are amazing vets! The staff are so pleasant and helpful and the vets and techs took such great care of our 2 dogs. They are thorough and very knowledgable. I appreciated their conservative approach to pet medicine, I never felt like they were pushing unneccesary services on me (although I wish I had been given the option to waive the blood work done prior to their dental cleaning since they had previously had the expensive blood work done and had been anesthetiz... read more

Highly recommend all of the vets here! We have met with them all and have enjoyed every visit. Ask for a tour and they give it on the spot! CLEAN, friendly, caring!

My Shih-tzu,, Dakota,, has been a patient of Caring Hands Ashburn, VA, for over 10 years. His Bordetella Vaccine expires in May 2025. I called the vet to schedule his appointment, which a technician usually covers. I received a call back stating he has to see the doctor (higher cost), or he cannot be seen at all, and referred me to a lower-cost animal hospital in Manassas. Ten years of care doesn't seem to count for anything, and it's very disappointing.

We have used helping hands for both of our dogs for normal routine visits. One of our dogs ended up with an ear infection. When we visited helping hands, they advised us it is hard to treat and asked us to follow the treatment and come back every couple of weeks. Every visit was over $400 and new medications which non of them worked. After serveral visits and over $2,000 our friends recommended trying the new location that opened in Broadlands. I would rate this place a 0 if it allowed it. Caring hands killed my best friend of 13 years. Now don't be fooled I was an advocate of this place initially. It wasn't until my 13 year old black lab boarder collie became suddenly ill which lead to us helping her cross the rainbow bridge. This place is only after your money. I came in to get two shots for my dog and a refill for her medication. They told me it would be around $75 for the shots, and $22 for the refill. They also suggested a flu shot that they said would cost an extra $30. When I went to pick up my dog the bill came out to $216 and they now said the flu shot was $46. This is my regular vet that I have been using for the past 3 years, I came to them because they were originally caring as I had a senior boxer with Degenerative Myelopathy, He passed away at home and I went through them for his cremation. My current boxer was just spayed last August there. Today she is very sick and I called their office to be seen and they refused and referred me to an emergency vet.
