Unimaginably expensive for a domestic health certificate to fly. 75 dollars for the exam and then 185 for the health papers. Are you kidding me!!! The whole process took barely 5 minutes and then they nail me with a bill for 260. Called 'em because I'm thinking surely somebody made a mistake and was basically told "well, that's just the way it is".

I found a lump in my dog's jaw of course on a Sat night. Went to Carson valley vet the next morning and saw “Doctor” Scott Warner. Worst vet I've ever seen, and he put my dog's life in jeopardy. Not to mention his jerk of an attitude. He felt the bump said, “She doesn't seem to be in pain, I'll give you some antibiotics.” I explained that she was having a difficult time drinking water and was worried that it might be something more than antibiotics could cure. He said, “50% of the time in these cases antibiotics will work.” ... read more

We have been using Carson Valley Vet for 25 years now. The only place that we have taken our animals since we moved to NV. Our house pig, Porkchop, who was a patient of theirs as they did a facelift on him a couple years back. Porkchop passed away this last Monday and Monday afternoon I called CVV and asked if I could bring Porkchop for cremation. The lady was very kind and said, of course, so we got there about 7:30 Tuesday morning with him in the back of my truck and they said they could not take him as he would not fit in... read more

We're sorry to hear about your experience with Porkchop. Unfortunately, our records from the last time Porkchop was seen said he was only 50 lbs. This is a very easy weight for us and our cremation company to accomodate. However, when you showed up with Porkchop yesterday you told us he was over 300 lbs and it took 5 people to get him into your truck. We apologize but our freezers could not hold him at that size.
