The facilities are superb and mirror those in a five-star hotel. Coupled with these are caring and attentive staff, good food and lovely rooms and grounds. Covid restrictions limit visits and activities, but staff do their best to provide activities for residents. The manager, in particular, took time to listen to us and help in contacting relatives living abroad. We are very impressed indeed.

I cannot praise the team at Castor Lodge Care Home more highly. From the moment I first made my enquiry with the customer relations manager regarding my mother coming into Castor Lodge my experience has been wonderful. Every question was answered, my tour was wonderful and the ongoing support and comfort from all the staff at a very difficult and emotional transition has been exceptional. It's in a perfect setting and environment. A wonderful atmosphere, very friendly, helpful staff that go out of their way to help. If there's such a thing as a near-perfect heaven Castor Lodge Care Home is it. Five-star all the way.

A lovely home with a great team at all levels. Very high-quality accommodation and public spaces, great food and most importantly the staff looking after Mum have been very attentive and caring. A positive experience.

Myself and Mum had a horrid time at another home. The difference with Castor is unbelievable and can’t thank them enough. We never wanted this to happen and not be at home but to see my mum smile again and for me not to cry on leaving is priceless.

Beautiful home with very caring staff. Its position within the village with such lovely surrounding areas is perfect for walks. The food is also excellent.

1st experience of a care home. Was looking for 4 weeks' respite for my mum. Was initially wowed by the reception/lobby/outside grounds. Given a tour by the manager and all seemed great, looking back at it now and with more knowledge, there were a few red flags. Was given a strong impression that they were dementia "experts", yet flooring/bathrooms were in grey which is a big no-no with dementia as it's seen as a big hole by the patient.
