Well I went in November and had a great experience with work. I arranged for my dad and brother to go with me for my birthday and it was not a good experience. Had to wait an hour to be seated because originally I had booked for five and changed it to 4 people. Then it took awhile to get the quality meats. This hostess was the biggest issue. All was great!, except, I made a reservation for 5pm but was not seated until 5:20 which is normally not a problem but other walk ins were getting seated without reservation and a couple of parties were as large as ours(8). The three hostess were so fake friendly, as if it was being done purposely. What a shame, I recommend this restaurant to anyone who will listen to me, I used to only recommend fogo, I even had my 25th wedding anniversary celebration at fogo. I'm thinking maybe I should go back.

I didn't have an experience but I can't pick zero stars. Basically our Open Table reservation was at 9:30pm but the restaurant closes at 9:00pm...
My wife and I went to Chama to celebrate her birthday. We must have caught them on a bad night. Food was OK but service was pathetic. Had to ask for our side dishes three times before they were delivered, twenty minutes later. The dessert was not delivered until we asked a second time, 15 minutes later. The cappuccino was delivered cold. Then we had to ask for the check three times. On a previous visit to Chama, the service was impeccable. I hope the poor service on this visit was a fluke and not a new trend.
Service was rushed; main server was somewhat combative and resentful of requests; worst chimmichuri I've experienced; meats were simply okay. Better choices for similar theme in SA.
