After visiting on [date removed], meeting with several members of the staff, and then seeing the spacious studio he would be living in, complete with bathroom and kitchenette, we decided that very day to have my brother transferred to Brookdale next week. We were extremely impressed with [names removed] who imparted not only professionalism but empathy and enthusiasm! We left there feeling so happy that he would be cared for compassionately and in a lovely environment!
Move in day from Gilchrist Hospice was very disorganized. My cousin arrived late, not her fault, but it seemed the staff was just rushing through her intake. No one thought to offer her something to eat as she missed lunch. No one seemed to be concerned about how [name removed] was handling all of these confusion. We placed my elderly cousin at Brookdale for a few months while we were planning her move to a continuing care retirement community. She has been very happy with the facilities, staff, and activities.
It has been a great transition for my mom, someone who swore she would never leave her house. She has made great friends, is active, and gets herself together by 7:30am for breakfast. When she lived at home, she wouldn't be ready to go anywhere until 11am. Sometimes she wouldn't get out of her pajamas for days at a time. Brookdale has definitely changed her life.
The facility was very nice and bright. Everyone was very friendly and the food is good. The outside area was very small with no where to walk and no grounds to tour. The price was high.
[name removed] was nice and knowledgeable. The community and building were okay, but not great. She did seem knowledgeable and understanding, but I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling. No complaints but not my favorite place.

This facility had a good vibe. The staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and roomy. This is going to be hard to beat.
My Mom has been living in Brookdale for nearly two months. I looked at a number of facilities and was personally in the business a number of years ago. I knew what I wanted for my Mom and Brookdale delivered. Mom is very happy the staff if delightful, my heart is happy because my Mom is happy. They say there is no place like home... until you call Brookdale home.
