I'm always skeptical when the dish that I order is 'sold out', which was the case when I dined here.

Made reservation and when we arrived were told that we can only stay to 6. Made no attempt to accommodate my group. Thanks to IPhones we found a great spot where we were welcomed. Will nevèr return

This was my first visit to Chocolat. I found it online while looking for brunch spots in Harlem. After reading the menu & a brief review I made a reservation for 5; including my mom and 14 yr old niece who were both visiting from out of town. Once seated we were told w/ out explanation, that only 4 of 12 brunch items were available that day. Huh? We arrived 30 mins after opening. The decor is lovely and the food is very good. However, the service, on this my second visit to Chocolat, was poor. We waited more than a half hour for the food to arrive.

the waiter was horrendous- we waited upon being seated 45 minutes for drinks, his service was slow.

Nice but not great neighborhood restaurant. Bruch was a bit pricey for what was provided.

Long wait even with the reservation. Slow service once seated. Limited menu. Ran out of food. Brunch is not "brunch" it is a limited lunch with certain breakfast items. The food quality is okay, not the freshest. Really had high hopes for this restaurant but it's overpriced for what you actually get. Would not survive in midtown or downtown where there are more options. Won't last in Harlem for much longer with out making the necessary improvements either.

It was a nightmare beyond your wildest imagination. Spilt red wine from neighboring table, ruining clothes. Waited over one hour for entrees, they never appeared. Kept saying "they will be right out". - finally walked out and had pizza across the street at Bad Horse (which was amazing). Staff was friendly and apologetic, did not charge us for the food we had consumed but still something was awfully amiss.
