My fiancee and I had a wonderful time. The service and food was amazing, we will definately go back again!
IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN TO CAFETERIA ON 16TH STREET, THEN YOU'LL RECOGNIZE THE RESEMBLANCE. ITS NICELY ROMANTIC AS LONG AS YOU DONT MIND THE CLOSENESS OF OTHERS CONVERSATIONS AND LACK OF ARM SPACE. OTHER THEN THAT, THE STAFF WERE AMAZINGLY KIND AS WELL AS ATTENTIVE. THE FOOD WAS YUMMY AND VERY WELL SEASONED. THE MAC AND CHEESE ROCKED! WAY BETTER THEN CAFETERIA REGARDING FOOD.
This place was a great find! I actually saw it featured on an episode of Love and Hip Hop and was curious. We went on a sunday. There was a jazz band and a great atmosphere. The menu did have items that were no longer available, but our waiter still made it possible and gave us two complimentary sides and a complimentary lemonade. Chocolat never disappoints. The service staff is attentive, the decor is inviting, the food is unsurpassed and one is never rushed. This is THE place to dine in Harlem.
The food is not the best Southern food or Soul food I have had. However, the Hostess was amazing. We were stuck in really bad traffic that ran us one hour late for our reservation. So we called the restaurant stating we were stuck going into the Lincoln tunnel. The hostess stated that they were really busy but he would see what he could do. My BFF & I had a great time. The food was great! I would definitely recommend this establishment and would come back. Whether on a date or a night out with the girls this is an excellent choice.
Food was good, service was not that good, the small staff was friendly, but only one person working the tables was way too much for him. One person tending bar and one person cleaning up. It took forever to get our wine, app and dinner. I suggest they up their staff, because the place has potential and isn't living up to it.
Went out for dinner and drinks , service was a little slow . Overall I had a great night.
This was my first time dining at Chocolat even though I have been pass this place a few times. I brought my man with me for a night out and it was nice. The ambience was laid back and chill, food was good, but it was a little bit loud. It seemed as if two private parties were taking place off of the dining area. The biggest issue I had with dining was when we got our bill and saw how much our drinks cost. No pricing for drinks on the menu was my only issue. Besides that we had a good time and would visit again.
