This isn't my 1st to this place. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and we had the best time along with our daughter. This time I brought my aunt along and she really enjoyed herself as well as my daughter.......again!!!!!!!

We had a good time at Chocolat. The lobser mac and cheese appetizer was very good with hunks of lobster. The Shrimp quesadillas were just ok, as you could barely find the shrimp. While the fried chicken was good, it was the smallest bird I have ever eaten. The drumstick looked like the 3rd joint on a wing. My sister had the short ribs, which were very tender, but their was only one piece. I took my mom for brunch on Mother's Day after buying an Amazon Local deal for this place. (Note/Lesson Learned: the AL deal does not apply to brunch.) The food was great, although a little overpriced for brunch, and the mimosas (with unlimited refills) were deceivingly strong (we realized a hour later that they had been quite effective). Chocolat use to be a favorite of my brother and I, but lately we've been disappointed. The dinner prices have increased (high), we had several bad experiences before the price hike (ordered a spaghetti kids meal for our little cousin and the sauce was cold, ordered a pitcher of Sangria and it was mostly ice, I ordered a jumbo crab cake thinking it was really a jumbo crab cake however to my surprise, it was half the size of a hockey puck). Nice place. Ambience was good, but the music selection and volume level does not match. Since there is no room for dancing, why are you playing dance/club music at such high volume. Since it is labeled as "restaurant lounge", I would expect to hear R&B/Jazz style music, with volume at conversational level.

The lobster mac and cheese appetizer is delicious. The Chocolat salad was not, however. The dressing tastes bitter and gives the salad an odd taste. Although it was nearly empty in there during lunch and the waitress was pleasant, she neglected the table a lot and took too long in getting the receipt out.

Met up with old friends-foodies- who wanted to check out Chocolat for brunch. It was just grand! We enjoyed the food so much the veggie omelet was made with fresh vegetables,the salad was crisp with an excellent mixture of fresh greens and the shrimp and grits made you think of soft fragrant breezes and magnolia blooms. The bottom-less mimosas were and added treat. The staff was warm, kind, attentive and super professional. We are already planning our return visit!
