I tried this place out with my cousin! It was cool. The menu was interesting. If you're a waffle person this is not the place for you. It's all about pancakes here. They looked good though! I had the salmone BLT and it was yummy! The seating was a little tight but managable. A reservation is a must!
This was my third time at Chocolat. They have the best pancakes in the neighborhood. I swear they're made from scratch. Light and fluffy. Perfection. The best part was our server, Ebony. She had a wonderful personality, tended to our every need and was an absolute joy to be around. When I return, I will request her section.
We totally enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent. The waiter was helpful and knowledgeable. The environment was energetic and inviting. You have to try the lobster mac and cheese.
Brunch at Chocolat was fabulous. I had the fried chicken with French toast and it was delicious. Everyone is my party had something different, from shrimp and grits to steak and eggs. Only one complaint was that the grits could have been hotter. Other than that, give us a mimosa pitcher and we're good.
I went to Chocolat with two friends for dinner. The restaurant is spacious, with a very clean design. The bar stands out like a jewel! The service was very good, with attentive management. Three of us shared the Fried Calamari Entree salad as an appetizer. It was delicious! The greens in the salad were fresh, not overdressed and the calamari were fried perfectly. We were a group of eight colleagues and needed a place that has good food, and that would seem NYC-ish to our out of town colleagues. This was a perfect place. We were seated in a separate room which was quiet enough to talk without seeming abandoned. The food is thoroughly enjoyable, if not perhaps spa cuisine. I love this restaurant. The food is fan-tast-stic. The Asian Pear Martini is delish..and strong. It sneaks up on you. The crowd is beautiful and diverse. Music is bumping. I've been three times since June 2013. It's a little pricey. Great for a date or a girls night out. I think they have entertainment as well. Very sexy place.
BUT THE SERVICE WAS EVEN BETTER! Our server was Ebony and she was ultra pleasant and friendly. She made great suggestions and on top of that the food was great! We went on a whim after another area place had an 1.5 hour wait on a sunday afternoon!!!!???? Where are we???? Im so grateful for over pretentious places, because it helped me to find this gem. At any rate I will definitely be returning there. :-). The red velvet pancakes and fried chicken were very good, as was the shrimp and cheese grits. Mmmmm.
