My whole family joined a month ago and I'm not gonna lie that I'm wishing now we hadn't. The location is good. The facilities are clean enough. The staff seems friendly enough. But they are either super busy to where no equipment is available or they are closed! Every night there's a line for all the machines. So I came on Sunday night and they close at 8:00! The ONLY reason I'll give this gym a one star and never renew again is because of the non-refundable yearly fee they charge. I've been wanting to cancel my membership because I moved but I figured when I moved back to Orange County in the fall I'd renew/rejoin. But when I tried to get a refund for the month of February (I went to the gym to cancel a day after I saw the transaction on my bank statement) but they were strict on not refunding me! Terrible. I've been a member here since this place opened and it was super amazing then, clean, quiet, no weights slamming, genuinely kind staff. Now they have free weights, which attract people that love to slam weights and grunt loudly, and also staff that get pissed off at u when you don't audibly answer back their extraordinarily loud hi's and goodbyes. 10pm closing time with earlier closing time depending on the dates are kind of terrible. Would pick other gym if this wasn't the closest.

This is an issue with a membership cancellation and their lack of keeping documents in their system. My wife cancelled her membership in April-May 2019 before she moved to Korea for a while. Then we noticed that she has been being charged since then, $22-23/month plus $39.99/year. We call the Chuze Cypress that she cancelled the membership already and they searched for the record, but they can't, then asked us to provide the copy or an email of the cancellation. Staff is very friendly, facilities are clean, and the equipment is very well maintained. I want to give them 5 stars but can't because they make it prohibitively difficult to downgrade your membership. My wife tried to downgrade her membership but they would only allow her to do so if she did it in person on the exact day that her monthly due is charged, and not any day before.

I am absolutely stunned at the unjust treatment and discriminatory behavior that the supervisor of this facility displays. I have been a member since 2018, and I have always enjoyed every visit until today. The supervisor's actions to charge me a fee and waive another customer's fee within minutes apart was shocking enough. So you need to either email them and give them "a reason" why you want to cancel your membership or go in person to cancel it. Makes no sense. The most ass backwards and inconvenient gym i ever went to. Still waiting for someone to respond to my email. Like get your shit together and stop waisting other peoples time.
