On September 19, 2025, I disputed a charge on my account for an item I never received. In November 2025 I receive a letter, dated November 18, 2025, from Citadel stating that I need to respond to the merchant's "needs"... Included in the requirements is to provide a detailed response to the merchant's "rebuttal" which amounts to no more than "we delivered on 8/15/25." Horrible customer service. been a member for 3 years and every time I call I am more disappointed. Their platform doesn't work well. I can't sign up for automatic payments. I called to have them turn on automatic payments and they made an error and it didn't go through the following month and I got a late fee. I don't recommend this credit union.

I've been paying the same bills for 12yrs, yet they still Flag 8 transactions a month for fraud. Also I recently won 600 bucks at an online casino, and when I withdrew it, Citadel flagged the 600 deposit as fraud, WHAT? Yes, they wouldn't allow a deposit. Another thing is i applied for a credit line, and have been denied 4 times with good credit, no late payments at all in 12 yrs, but they approved 3 of my friends who have all filed for bankruptcy which I've never done, and when I first started my job, I paid thousands in NS... read more

We have an auto loan with citadel credit union. They are advertising they are helping those affected by the government shutdown, however they are discriminating against those same people. My husband works for a government contractor who can no longer pay my husband until the shutdown is over. He is 100% affected and works for the government. Horrible customer service. I called two times to my bank where i have been a member over 20 years with numerous accounts and waited on the line for 20 minutes in regards to getting my Apple Pay setup with my debit card. The first phone rep told me i had to try numerous methods of putting my name in to get the authentication to complete which in turn locked my Apple Pay account out. I have been a member for over 40 years; starting with Atlantic Employees Credit Union. Most of the credit card accounts I have will post payments on the date they are received; not Citadel, they claim that their bill payer system delivers the payments after business hours so it takes an extra day. Normally not an issue until the due date happens to be a Saturday, Sunday or holiday. Most of the other companies when that happens will move the due date automatically to the next business day; not Citadel. So if a payment... read more

Do NOT use this bank. It's a total ripped off. They charged you $33 for a decline fee. Basically the transactions get declined and they charged you for declining NOT FOR PAYING IT but DECLINING IT.
