My husband and I have been here many times, and we've always enjoyed our meals and the service. We will not be returning after what happened to us Saturday evening. I made a reservation for a friend's birthday party on Saturday. We had 16 guests joining, but the actual number fell to 13. I have never had such a terrible experience! Stopped by here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and it didn't disappoint. The only thing I would say is to expand the appetizer menu. My husband and I both had the citizen mule and the drink was pretty good. Please be careful tho, it doesn't seem like it had any alcohol in it but that drink hit me fast. There was a table, very close, next to our table with 2 big dogs. One of the big dogs came over and licked my table and my glass of water. The dog's tongue touched the bottom of my glass of water. I could see the dog's saliva at the bottom of my glass and on the table. Then, both dogs came and sniff my hands. There was also a scent that smelled like the combination of pee and Fritos. I sense an air of ego here. From the host, to the server, they treated us as if they were doing us a favour. I didn't like it at all. We ordered a cheese plate and three drinks on the patio. The drinks were gone by the time our food arrived 30-min later. I had to go in and ask for napkins and silverware. I had to go in and ask for a check. The food was absolutely amazing; the waiter was abysmal. We were celebrating 2 birthdays, and the host specifically confirmed that we were there for to celebrate our birthdays. We were seated in front of the kitchen door. I gently asked Brent if we could possibly move to a booth. "No!", said he. Oh my where do I start? What a fabulous restaurant with such tasteful food and excellent presentation! The service was also phenomenal. I ordered the shishito peppers to start. There were a mixture of spicy and mild, and they were delicious! For dinner I had the gluten- free fried chicken. It came with rice grits and green beans. It was to die for! The food & cocktails were good, and atmosphere nice. HOWEVER, we were dismayed that the house manager keeps pulling down his mask as he is standing directly over the drinks at the bar waiting to be taken to the tables, and walks into the kitchen without his mask up. It's a shame that the manager is ruining our impression as the other staff keep theirs up and they have dividers between tables.

Terrible host staff, tried to seat me at a table that was completely wet and then was asked to move to a table set for takeout. Finally settled at the bar where service was adequate. Good martinis. The shishito peppers were too mushy and the beignets over-fried. I had initially left a 1 star but I feel that was too harsh. With better host staff, this could have been a 4 star experience.

This was our first time eating here and I wasn't impressed at all. The food was ok and the menu was very lackluster. Also, the service was very slow and it took awhile for our food to come out. I don't know if I will be back.
