I celebrated a milestone birthday with a great group of friends at Citizen Soul restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the vibe in the restaurant was relaxing, well lit, energetic and hip. If the service had been on par with the atmosphere in the restaurant it would have been an amazing experience. However JESSE ruined it for many of us. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Alpharetta. I love the vibe here. It's fancy without feeling pretentious. The service is amazing and the food is two thumbs up. I have been here twice now, both times during the lunch hour. Both of my servers were on it--constantly refilling my water, willing to answer any questions I had, and bringing our food out almost immediately after we ordered. I came here on a weeknight for dinner and it was packed. I sat myself at the bar, which was open seating and was helped immediately, even though that are was pretty crowded as well. I interacted with multiple people who were all serving me. I started with a water since I was planning on eating and wanted to decide on my meal before committing to a drink. Go in, order Brussels Spouts, Pimento Fritters, Die & Go to Heaven! Two insanely good dishes. Burger would have been great, but Sunday slightly stale bread hurt. But the French Fries were beyond fantastic. 4.6!

I don't understand why they feel the need to add a 5% surcharge if you use a credit card. Don't have an issue with food or service. If your restaurant depends on a service charge to keep the place the open, just shut down. We won't be back.

ordered a burger to go. the meat was dry, overcooked and recooked and maybe microwaved and burned . can not believe this is the food that comes out of the kitchen very disappointing

Just being perfectly honest, didn't love the food. We went for lunch and ordered a lot of different stuff but just weren't impressed by any of it unfortunately. The morale in the restaurant seemed low from the manager walking around to the wait staff. Obviously could be a wrong observation, but it is how we felt. The presentation of food was nice but taste is more important.

The quality of service has really gone down hill. The older manager that always seems to be there is always rude and short. Don't have a beautiful outside fire pit if you aren't going to use it. We don't mind if short handed, we can go to the bar and get our own drinks and still enjoy the fire.

I had dinner with a group of ladies last night. This was none of our first times eating here and we were all looking forward to our dinner to celebrate a friends birthday.
