Believe the positive reviews. First time visitors. Excellent GF Fried Chicken and Braised Short Rib. Flavorful without being too salty. Creative profiles in veggies and starches. Beautifully presented. Fast kitchen. Arrived piping hot. Excellent, attentive service. Lovely ambient. Great value and high quality in the new competitive restaurant environment of central Alpharetta.

The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because the waiter was super nice an apologetic. Long story short the food was good just not worth the price I spent. When we go there one waiter took our drink order and not long after another waiter took our food order. We insisted that we could wait but the 2nd waiter said he was more than willing to take the order. We've lived in Alpharetta for about 8 months and this is one of our favorite places. We've alway chosen to sit on the patio, so I'm not acquainted with the interior of the restaurant. We've had their flatbread, duck confit, fried chicken, the short ribs and the burger. I found the chicken somewhat tasteless and dry, but everything else has been wonderful. Came here with my girlfriend for dinner one night, and decided to eat outside. Thankfully it wasn't buggy, and I was pleasantly surprised at the really nice ambiance of their patio with even a fire pit! Loved it! There's a TV outdoors too for those interested. Part of the outside patio is covered, which is great if you don't want too much sun. They have a nice cocktail list along with a variety of wines and beer. Citizen Soul is probably my favorite restaurant in Alpharetta. The pimento cheese fritters are a must to start. If you're eating healthy I'm sorry - you must splurge just a little. The squash and crab toast are also staple appetizers (they usually have a special toast too) so don't miss those either. Salads are large and uniquely different and wholesome.
