Had a great lunch here today. Fried okra for an appetizer was really good. Husband had the braised short rib it was out of this world. I had the Italian Ciabatta special it was on menu as a cold sandwich. Asked if it could be a hot sandwich chef Adam accommodated me and hot damn maybe best sandwich I've ever had. This will be a new permanent spot on our rotation.

"California cuisine with Southern heart and soul..." I'll take it! Prime location in downtown Alpharetta. Free street and garage parking available. Great style, great atmosphere, and great service. Hubs and I came by one late evening (9-ish) for date night. I love Citizen Soul. The ambience and attire are casual and the food is delicious. The location is phenomenal. Situated directly in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, Citizen Soul is surrounded by many other eating and drinking establishments. They offer outdoor seating, one area of which has a fire pit. The food I had here was great. Chiccharones for the win! But if you order them, make sure you have more than 2 people because they bring you an enormous bowl. And if you only have 2 people, 2 people will end up eating them all. I also had the duck confit salad and it was delicious. I love what they're doing with Alpharetta and can't wait to see what else pops up the next time I visit my in-laws.

My mom, sister, and I went here for lunch to celebrate my birthday and had a great experience. We shared the meat and cheese plate and my meal was the duck confit salad, which was all delicious! The interior is clean and stylish. It is a little pricey, but I really enjoyed everything! Service was good, as well.

I have been here 4 times now and every time was a very different experience. My conclusion is that dinner with a good server is outstanding. Lunch tends to always be average. So, lets focus first on dinner. Our party consisted of 3 adults and 1 toddler. We ordered numerous appetizers and entrees each. Can't say enough great things about this place. We were greeted with smiling faces upon walking in. We sat at the bar for an impromptu date night, the bartender greeted us immediately went over the menu, made great suggestions offered samples of beer before we committed.
