After my first visit to Clocktower Animal Hospital I'm very impressed and will definitely return! The staff were all warm and welcoming. I was pleased with how compassionate the staff was when interacting with my 4 pound chihuahua. After finding out my previous vet from out of state was charging me $10 to have my records transferred they gave me a "professional discount" of $10 to make up for it. I was floored! Keep up the good work Clocktower Animal Hospital!

I miss this hospital. It is the best in NoVA for sure. I am a former vet tech. I have had the great opportunity to work for an awesome, compassionate and community-driven vet in the Philly burbs for years. Because of this, I am VERY picky about my vet. Also: My dogs are my children. Clocktower reminds me of the clinic I worked for in Philly, and in the best ways possible. Texted them to find out they want 1000 plus exam fee for neutering my cat, feels expensive, but if you think about it, it is really expensive!
I visited Clocktower Animal Hospital several times after getting my puppy. I had no problem with the quality of the service. However, I was not able to resolve a billing dispute with their hospital manager Mackenzie Carson. I would not recommend taking your pet here if you value your money. I received a biannual exam in February 2025. Then I was charged for another "biannual exam" in March 2025 while getting my puppy vaccinated. Beware: please save your animals and do not use Clocktower for sick visits!! We brought our new, 11-week-old Bernedoodle for a well-visit on the evening of Dec 5. Our puppy received a clean bill of health and a distemper vaccine from Dr. Kendall. Dr. Kendall also took a stool sample and did an ear check. Knowing that our puppy may suffer from vaccine side effects, we spent the entire next day monitoring him. They didn't know why my dog was there again (monthly allergy shot), then they asked me if I had considered a biopsy when his biopsy results were right in front of them. Had called them ahead of time to be sure that they had reviewed his file this time because he was going through a difficult period (thus the skin biopsy) and they did so poorly the first visit. Disturbing and horrid. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.
If I could rate Clocktower a zero I would. Worst customer service ever! One time my dog was supposed to have her teeth cleaned. They kept her in a cage for ten hours! Never cleaned her teeth! They had the nerve to ask me to bring my dog back the next day. Further the vet yelled at me! They had the nerve to charge me! I have been using them for 20 years. Originally run by three veteran vets who were amazing. Now, the place has been purchased by a corporation and it is run purely for profit. You will have a price on your head the moment you contact them. The Vets are all newly graduated. They look like teenagers. They have not been completely honest with me when upselling my products, I paid over $80 for a cleaner for my dog's ears that I could have gotten on Amazon for $20. First I'll say that Dr. Schneider is great and in general this place gives good care however I did have an issue with Dr. Mazer's "bedside manner" so much so that after many months I'm still upset and have decided to leave this review. My dog recently passed away after a long fight with a heart condition but many months ago Dr. Mazer had suggested either getting tests done that would have costed thousands upon thousands of dollars and may have done nothing more than confirm the current diagnosis or we could let him live out ... read more
