I signed a roof replacement contract with CMR after hurricane **** I wrote a check over 4 months ago to CMR for 1/4 of the total replacement amount as specified in their contract. Since that time, there has been little or no communication from CMR as to when it will replace my roof. When I contact their "coordinator" (and there have been many), I'm always given the answer "no status". It's been many months of "no status". I feel that I may have to pursue legal action to retrieve the money I have ****** paid them and get my r... read more
Business response:
CMR has reached out to the client and we have secured the materials and will be starting the roof soon. The product that the client chose was on back order but we were able to move some things around and get it ahead of schedule. After the call the client was much more pleased and we are moving in a positive direction.
CMR Roofing encouraged me to file a claim against my insurance company due to roof damage. The litigation process took approximately 2 years. During this time, I had several new leaks that occurred. I was told by my attorney (recommended by CMR) to let CMR Roofing know and it was their responsibility to patch up or put tarp on the roof. I contacted CMR representatives multiple times and received a few messages stating that someone should come. After several weeks of no one coming, CMR reps went radio silent. Approximately a ... read more
Business response:
While CMR understands the frustration with the invoice, the fact is that work was completed. The tarping is a temporary repair to help minimize damages. The tarps were on the roof for over 6 months when the storm damaged them. It was not because of faulty workmanship. So yes there were two tarp fees. Furthermore, you chose to cancel the contract with CMR after you had an approval and yes there are applicable fees for that. We have offered to work with you if you want to discuss that but we are ready willing and able to perfo... read more
I would not recommend this company. After suffering damage from hurricane **** I contacted CMR to replace my roof. After agreeing to the cost. The tile was removed from roof and damage was done to my facia and soffit and ************************* our cantact person has given ** the run around on fixing the damage. The company doesnt hesitate to request money for the job. They are scammers and other homeowners in my gated community feel the same way.
Business response:
After reviewing the file it looks like a punchout list was gathered on your home to be completed once the roof was completed. The roof was completed about 2 weeks ago and the gutters were just completed. Now that the main trades are completed we can complete the punchouts. Furthermore, the roof turned out AMAZING! We are confused at what point you were scammed. CMR only asked for payments per the policy of payment.
We have paid everything to CMR and we received some liens. At this point no one is answering the emails and phone calls. *** and *************************** left the company. We would like some answers please.
Business response:
CMR is not showing any liens are present on the account. After reviewing the file it looks to be paid in full and the roof turned out amazing. If there are any issues please feel free to reach out directly.
Never again!!! This company did my roof charged an arm and a leg for a small family single home shingle roof and took all the money that my insurance company paid me! On top of that wanted to charge me an extra $4,000 for less than half a foot of fascia!!! That was supposed to be included in the whooping $20,000 that they charged me!!!
Business response:
CMR is confused by this review. We never charged the customer any money for the fascia. The insurance company agreed to the amount for the roof and the only out of pocket expense to the homeowner was the deductible of $2,500. Unfortunately, it is now being pursued by collections because the client has not paid the deductible or all of the insurance proceeds they received for the roof. All the work was completed and signed off on and now we are pursuing our money to be paid for over 90 days. We would love to resolve any quest... read more
Took over 3 years to get roof completed from date contract signed. Hidden costs, poor customer service. Damaged property during repairs and refused to pay or replace. Unknown to me they solicited my business by knocking on my door which is illegal in *******. Once contract was signed, unprofessional and uncaring of problems arising due to their untimely repair of *******.
Business response:
CMR completely understands the clients frustration however, 888 days of that was everyone waiting on the insurance settlement from the carrier. Ultimately, the customer had to hire an attorney to fight the carrier on. Now once the roof was approved it did take us about 9 months to complete the project. Unfortunately, due to the amount of roofs being done right after ***, timelines got delayed due to limited material supply, taxed labor forces, and an influx of new clients. The roof was completed and passed all inspections. F... read more
I believe CMR Consruction and Roofing has serious problems internally. For example, due to some unknown problem, I had to sign the contact with them 3 different times, also, they had to come my home 3 different times to photograph ******* because they lost the previous photos. Worst of all, after receiving my insurance check July 27, 2023, I have not received a check back from them, minus down payment as promised. I was told several times I would receive a check back in about 4 to 6 weeks minus the deposit. As of December 5t... read more
We had this company knocking on our door after the hurricane ***. We had a very convincing sales rep who was very attentive for the first few months, then nothing. Later we found out she was no longer with the company. We were told the supplies would be in in July and then they would get started. After that we called and called with no answer. When we did finally talk with someone, we were told they were waiting on the permits. We called the city and were told our permit had been ready for over a month. We called the office ... read more
Business response:
Mr. *****,CMR appreciates your review. We understand the communication and timelines could have been better. We have used your file as an example of how we can be way better. We truly appreciate you working with us and keeping with us through the build. The result is a beautiful roof that is free of leaks. If you every need anything please let me know.
As of today, October 10th, It has been a year since we purchased our tiles from CMR. They said it may take as much as 4 months to be delivered. In June ******* roofing removed the old tiles in preparation for the new ones. That was almost 5 months ago. In all this time we had zero communication with anybody from CMR. Without any roofing, we are unable to run the ** because it can't remain cool due to lack of insulation. We were running $359 electric bill(normally $120) before realizing the ac won't remain cool. It just keeps... read more
