We've used Coastal Kids for both our toddlers the last 3 years both at the Laguna Hills, LN and LR locations. Always have had great Doctors, Nurses and staff! The last 4-5 scheduled visits involving both of my kids with Dr. Nylander, the wait times are just out of control at this location. We have waited for 45min-1 hour for all of these scheduled appointments. How can we show up for the first appointment of the day at 830 and not be seen until 915-930? I had to stay after the appointment to finish filling out paperwork. They didn't think to give it to me in the 20 minutes I was in the waiting room. I finally saw the doctor 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. An hour and fifteen minute long appointment for a wellness checkup seems a little ridiculous. They clearly do not care about other people's time.

Dr Gordon is the WORST, uncaring, unsympathetic doctor ever!! I came in because my daughter would start shaking/ her arms and legs twitching. Dr Gordon automatically diagnosed my daughter with anxiety! My 11 year laughed and said she didn't have anxiety. In fact, it was because she wasn't eating enough calories. We found out she had hunger shakes. We also saw Dr Nylander and she said some inappropriate things to my daughter. Extremely dis satisfied with these physicians ethical practice! We took our 2 month old boy in for his first round of shots & were handed a book on the shots that were recommended to get. We wanted to break things up & stagger his vaccinations so we decided to just get the 1 DTAP. The next visit we came in & the other doctor had it on her records that he received the DTAP combo shot which also contains HIB & Polio. I will not be returning to this office and have recommended to all of my friends that go here they change their pediatrician as well. Our child's primary doctor has been changed which we did immediately upon leaving this office. We had our child vaccinated at 2 & 4 months, but after having two extremely scary experiences with vaccine reactions we decided to wait until he is a little older to continue with vaccinating. 2 starts for the front office on several occasions I walked in recently and the lady up front asked me if I was going to pay my bill I wasn't even aware I had funny (statement was sent to my home a week later ) anyway I was confused it was a no show fee when in reality me and my sons dr and spoken several times because my son had rsv 3 months prior flash forward my son coughed like clear your throat and she's like looking at him all rude and then goes how old is he can he put a mask on first off she's stupid because she has ... read more

While I understand some patients require far beyond the allotted estimated appointment duration, asking a customer to wait over an hour with a newborn is unacceptable. I ended walking out because I had to pick up my son from school. I was given no notice of the additional delays and the wait time I was told was complete inaccurate. We love Dr. Nylander here, but will not be continuing on with this practice because of mismanagement and lack of transparency regarding expectations around wait times. Was not very impressed by the overall services provided. The staff was fairly new it seemed and very few knew what to do. The nurses on duty were not very good at handling the newborns. I even got charged a $20 fee for transferring the records to a different Pediatrician outside of the coastal kids network- and this was the first time I had to pay for transferring of medical records anywhere, so not sure how common that is.
