Deceptive pricing! I was quoted $6000 and it ended up being $10000!!! I only had 6 rooms!!! I do not recommend!
Our experience started off great but quickly went downhill. We were moving from ***********, ** to **********, ** a big move, and we understood that. We were originally quoted one price, and when the company called a few days before the move to reconfirm, we had actually reduced the amount of furniture, including getting rid of a full king bedroom set and an entertainment center. Horrible experience. My mother in law is separating from her husband and they delayed the moving by a day and a half. So many excuses and horrible customer service. Dont go with this company, its a huge scam that screws people over with the idea that its the contractors fault. Their reviews on their site are also fake. ***** on this company.
SHADY and DO NOT USE COAST or any broker for that matter. They lied, misled, bait and switch of pricing that cost me $2300 more than what was originally quoted. This Broker/Sub out to an equally shady moving co model MUST be legally changed and I will fight to ensure that happens. See you in court.
Absolutely avoid at all costs. They are classic ************* company. No way they should still be in business. They lied and scammed our family on a cross-country move and when confronted, just reiterated that they didn't force us to sign the contract. They are a slimy broker who subcontracts their moves with even worse companies. Missing so many items including my daughter's crib which was a gift from my now-deceased sister. I strongly advise avoiding Coastal Moving Services. My experience was misleading, costly, and stressful from start to finish.Not Transparent Nowhere during booking was I told this company is only a broker. I discovered later that they hire third-party movers and pocket a large portion of the fees.Trapped by Deposits They required a 50% deposit upfront. Terrible company with terrible communication. Everyone who works for/with this company is just trying to rip you off and find more ways to squeeze any money they can from you. They all lie about the price and then try to hold your furniture hostage when you dont agree to them trying to s**** you over. AVOID AT ALL COST!
Coastal Moving Services should be avoided at all costs. They are charlatans who are completely comfortable at bilking customers of thousands of dollars on technical premises with no concern for integrity. I paid nearly $4000 simply because I used an incorrect email address following their cancellation policy within the 72-hour time frame stated and for no services provided other than a phone quote. I recently arranged a move from ********** to ****** for a one-bedroom apartment. We meticulously inventoried every item, down to the small trash can in the bathroom. The moving estimate I received was similar to quotes from well-known companies like *****************, but I chose this company because they could schedule my move a week earlier.
