This moving company is an absolute nightmare and should not be in business.They originally quoted me around $2,000, and somehow that magically jumped to over $5,000 once the process was underway. That alone should have been a red flag, but it only got worse from there.They took over $5,000 of my money and completely failed to deliver even basic communication or professionalism. I wish I could leave a zero star review. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a moving company. Everything seemed great up until the day before the move. I was originally given a time window of 8 am to 12 noon. I live on a military base and asked 4 separate times if the company had access to base. I was assured quickly that they did. I booked Coastal Movers in Jan 2026 with an estimate of ~$2,500 to move boxes from ** to **. On pickup day (Feb 28), I learned they are a broker and my move was handled by Coast to Coast Movers. At that point, the price nearly doubled to $4,700, which I was forced to accept due to my lease ending.After using their included 30 days of storage, I was told delivery could take up to 21 days with no tracking or firm date. Reviewing everything in my house per item I received a quote I called back three times to say well I have a lot of stuff in my attic and they're in totes and I was told that is not a problem don't worry about it now they come to pick up pack my house and they are charging me another $9,000 and they tell me they can't fit all my belongings in their little truck a great way to start a new life and a new home
Only leaving one star cause I can’t leave zero. What ever you do NEVER do business with this company. They are rude, disrespectful and lack basic empathy or consideration for their customers. Do not recommend this company at all. **** was helpful at first and once the move got started he ghosted us. They claimed all dishes would be packed in special padded boxes, TVs would have TV boxes and everything would be handled with care. This was NOT true. My mothers wedding chain was carelessly thrown into a box. Our TVs were wrapped in moving blankets and stored within the truck without proper protection. Absolutely horrible experience. This company is a scam and from what other reviewers are posting about are absolutely true. It seems they routinely perform a bait and switch, quoting you a reasonable price, scheduling the delivery, only to discover you'll owe thousands more at the time for pickup. They utilize the cheapest lowest quality movers which WILL damage your items, half of everything we received is completely broken, damaged, or completely unrecognizable. I dont normally write a review but want others to avoid the same stress I went through. It wouldnt let me select 0 stars, otherwise I would. The movers showed up an hour and half late. They also stopped at the liquor store on the trip from our old house to our new house. The website claims up front, transparent estimates, but the estimate was completely wrong and we required more than double the amount of space estimated. Worst moving experience ever. They moved a bedroom set and managed to damage the head board, looked like they dropped it, and lost a unique pull on the chest of drawers. I thought this move was too easy. I would have been better off donating the furniture and using the moving costs to buy something else.
