Doing business as Coastal Moving Services. Quoted me over $7000 for move from *********, ** to ******, **. I asked if that included moving a car, which it did not. I had called other companies and knew the **** was around $2500. I asked if he could drop the price to compete and he replied no. I hung up. He texted me back to offer the service for $2500! Told him its offensive and I'm not a fool. Reported him to his company.
This company is a total ****! Marcusis so slick that books your move. DO NOT TRUST him he lies. They charge a fortune and then up charge like crazy. This company doesnt even do the moves the sub contract to people they dont know! RUN and dont sign the lame contract.
Do not use! Once they have your deposit and property they change the terms. I was told 5 days. Now after 7 they say maybe another 12 and my property is in storage which it was never meant to be. It was to be a straight move. The movers who picked up put a first available date without asking me and just giving me an illegible carbon while stating again, 5 days. This should be illegal. They are holding my property refusing delivery.
As everyone else has said, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They aren't movers. They're a broker that contracts it out, they are not the ones that actually do the moving. They hire guys off ********** on either side to do the unloading/********** one anywhere takes responsibility for anything. They all point at each other. gave me a price and doubled it when we were done.Then, when I complain, they told me that I had already given them a deposit and that I would not get that back. The worst I have ever experienced in business. They showed up with a truck that was too small and had to leave some of my things but increased the fee amount by $500. Do not use this company. They are a complete fraud.
AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. These movers will dangle a carrot of a great price, then double the price 5 days before your move, so you are absolutely stuck. Then they increase the price again on the day you move. There are also special requirements for payment. At first they take your credit card. Then they require a check and a credit card, and finally they require a post office money order. ABSURD!!! They ask for 65% down an entire month before you move, which I found out is not the norm. My mother made the mistake of booking with them. Her original quote was $3500 but when they showed up it jumped to $16,000. Absolutely a scam company that is somehow still in business. They need to be shut down
Do not use them!!! Had a terrible experience! Was quoted over a thousand dollars less than what we ended up having to pay for when they came to pick everything up. Completely ruined our driveway and had to get a tow truck to come get them unstuck after tearing apart the concrete. Was told they take everything apart and put it back together but did let show up with any tools to do that. Left THEIR trash everywhere and said they dont pick up trash. This is the worse ************** ever my items was smashed & dented in that was brand new my safe is missing my piggy bank was open change was falling on the ground from all my boxes being smashed & flimsy my item was on the truck stuffed in the truck with someone elses items.
