Do NOT consider Coastal Moving Services for your move. Extremely poor customer service and is dishonest/shady about costs. I got quote estimates for my cross country move from over a dozen moving companies and went with Coastal because they provided the cheapest estimate. I was moving a 10x10x10 storage unit (1000cu ft max) from MD to **. ***** ******* gave me the final estimated quote of 350cu ft for $3900. took from May 22, 2025, to July 8, 2025, to get my stuff delivered. Many Phone calls were made, and I got different excuses every time I asked where my stuff was. I was told that if I went and picked it up, I would be charged extra. When they finally delivered it, there was an upcharge of $450 because they said they could not unload it from an 18-*******, and an additional upcharge of $250 because it was over 75 feet from the unloading area, and $75 because they had to use an elevator. extremely predatory business methods, with a classic bait and switch used during payment to get me to agree and sign paperwork only to upcharge me significantly once I had no choice. ****** is shady
They are just simply scammers. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
This place is absolutely horrible, do not be deceived by their prices. They will quote you one price, then it's double the price during pick up. When you speak with customer service they are rude and have no resolution. Stay far away from them.

When I contacted this company they told me it would be $1489. They did not tell me I had to pay them and then I had to pay the moving company extra in the amount of $2772. I thought I was contacting the moving company directly to move from ******* to *********. The price kept going up and up until it reached about $15,000. They said it would be 3 to 4 days for delivery which ended up being about 20 days so we had no furniture when we moved which they lost a lot of our stuff.
