Terrible company with terrible communication. Everyone who works for/with this company is just trying to rip you off and find more ways to squeeze any money they can from you. They all lie about the price and then try to hold your furniture hostage when you dont agree to them trying to s**** you over. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Coastal Moving Services should be avoided at all costs. They are charlatans who are completely comfortable at bilking customers of thousands of dollars on technical premises with no concern for integrity. I paid nearly $4000 simply because I used an incorrect email address following their cancellation policy within the 72-hour time frame stated and for no services provided other than a phone quote. DO NOT GET TRAPPED IN THEIR PRESSURE TO SIGN A CONTRACT. I think a class-action law-suit may be justified against their fraudule... read more

I recently arranged a move from ********** to ****** for a one-bedroom apartment. We meticulously inventoried every item, down to the small trash can in the bathroom. The moving estimate I received was similar to quotes from well-known companies like *****************, but I chose this company because they could schedule my move a week earlier. Do NOT consider Coastal Moving Services for your move. Extremely poor customer service and is dishonest/shady about costs. I got quote estimates for my cross country move from over a dozen moving companies and went with Coastal because they provided the cheapest estimate. I was moving a 10x10x10 storage unit (1000cu ft max) from MD to **. ***** ******* gave me the final estimated quote of 350cu ft for $3900. took from May 22, 2025, to July 8, 2025, to get my stuff delivered. Many Phone calls were made, and I got different excuses every time I asked where my stuff was. I was told that if I went and picked it up, I would be charged extra. When they finally delivered it, there was an upcharge of $450 because they said they could not unload it from an 18-*******, and an additional upcharge of $250 because it was over 75 feet from the unloading area, and $75 because they had to use an elevator. This place is absolutely horrible, do not be deceived by their prices. They will quote you one price, then it's double the price during pick up. When you speak with customer service they are rude and have no resolution. Stay far away from them.
