I just took our dog here last night for a check-up and his yearly shots. I have been looking to switch vets because I have been fairly unimpressed with our last one. This place was amazing. All of the staff was helpful and super friendly. They answered all my questions and it was also affordable (as affordable as vet visits can be). Our dog is so afraid of everything and the vet sat on the floor with him until he was more comfortable. We did have to wait a little bit after our appointment for an open room, which seems to be ... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your kind review! I am unable to determine which client you are based on your profile name, but I'm so pleased to hear that our low stress handling helped your dog feel more comfortable during his visit. Also, thank you for being patient with the wait time; since we are also an emergency clinic it unfortunately happens from time to time. For future reference, you may want to visit our Riverdale location (at 128th and Holly) for regular visits. That location does not see emergencies, which allows us to be more t... read more

Our only vet we have ever been to and honestly don't know why I would ever leave. We have brought both our cat and dog here. Our cat when he needed emergency surgery/overnight treatment. They could not have been friendlier and while we expected a huge bill was still super reasonable regarding the services he needed. Our dog got his vaccinations there, once again they use more than fair pricing and I loved how the vets treated him and us. We just had to take our dog in on emergency hours because he had complications from neut... read more

A couple of years ago. They treated one of my pups who came down with Parvo from where we adopted him from and saved his life. Recently they performed the cremation of my elder dog. They were so respectful, we received his ashes in a beautiful urn box along with a clay paw print and a tuft of his fur in a glass vial. I almost broke down when I saw what they had provided me and my family.

I love this vet! Good vets are hard to come by, but Community Pet Hospital has been amazing to my two schnorkies and my wallet. They are honest and don't push things that aren't necessary. Every tech and vet I have interacted with has been wonderful! No need to ever go anywhere else!

I have been wanting to write this post for a while. In April my cat Kahn was hit by a car and the staff was so wonderful in helping him heal. Through multiple bandage changes they took great care of him and they didn't just change his bandages they put a lot of time into them in addition to giving the bandages a little fun. Last night I took my dog in for an allergic reaction, he was still well taken care of and loved on and now is doing much better today. I also gave the vet tech an update on my kitty Kahn, she was so excit... read more

We started seeing Dr. Smith et al back in the early 90s with our two cats (at the old clinic on Malley Dr. with the big pink cat on the sign). The cats have since passed, and we adopted a dog four+ years ago. They helped us with a referral for some training for our pup, and have always made time to see her when we had emergencies (she likes to eat things she shouldn't!). We've since adopted another heeler. Dr. Smith and others have been nothing but gentle and kind to all of us. I highly recommend Community Pet Hospital.

We have taken all our furry babies here for the last 10 years. Mostly for annual exams and check-ups, but also once when our puppy got parvo. They were amazing during this very stressful time. Very friendly staff and always great with our dogs. We have tried other vets because they were closer, but have always come back to CPH. Only draw back is you often see a different vet, so it is hard to get that report and history built.

I have been taking my two dogs here for years so they were familiar with them. The vets and techs are all very kind and caring. I recently needed to euthanize my first dog and they were amazing. They had me check out before so I could spend whatever time I wanted to and just leave when I was ready. I also like that they're the only 24 hour vet in the area; in this case it was critical, it was around midnight that my dog with a brain tumor started crying and whining. I called them and when they heard him in the background o... read more
