This place misdiagnosed our dog after having her in the clinic all day in an oxygen cage, called and told us we needed to come back right away if we wanted to see our dog alive. We arrived there, and our dog was alert and excited to see us. They advised us to take her to an ER veterinarian by ambulance. I asked if the ambulance had lights and sirens, they told us yes, when actually it was just an SUV. When we arrived at the ER vet, the doctor was shocked that our dog looked and acted so good. Please read the reviews prior to finding a primary vet for your animal. The doctors at this facility are incredibly knowledgeable and communicate well with treatment. However, the front desk staff are insanely rude and make you feel pretty worthless. Receptionist are the face of your business and what people see first. I haven't had a single good experience with the front desk staff via phone or in person. I tried the Holly location and same thing, terrible front desk staff. Very rude and short on the phone. Insanely overpriced. Front desk receptionists are rude and never acknowledge waiting patients. Appointment times mean absolutely nothing, if you show up late they cancel you, if you're on time they make you wait minimum 30 minutes past your appointment time.

Sunday my sister and I brought her dog in to be seen because he had a very noticeable limp and was very restless. We called ahead and since it was Sunday, they told us to come in as a walk in and that they were not that busy. We arrived 10 minutes later to check in, the front desk said there was one person ahead of us. Since it was a walk in, we expected there would be a wait but ....2 1/2 hours later!?! This place needs new stuffing for front office all can go but the one young lady with dark hair she seems to be the only one that cares and is trying to help the blonde with glasses is the worse I had 2 encounter with her 1st was being my dog in for her surgery she very rude and just absolutely attitude, the 2nd time was a day later after my pups surgery that went long and no communication what's so ever I had to call in everytime to get an update, but the second visit she didn't check me in just told me to wait and never go... read more

My dog had gotten into a serious altercation with my other dog. She had cuts and lacerations and the one her right lower leg was in obvious need of stiches. I called around and Community Pet Hospital of Thornton had by far the lowest wait time for an emergency visit so there we went. This was my first time there and I was not really in a position to research. Obviously, I should have. We arrived just before noon, they didn't look to busy, great. Horrible experience. We walked in at 5:30pm and we're told it would be 3 hours. They said we couldn't leave to get food or we lose our place in line. 4 and a half hours later still no update. Asked them at 10pm why we haven't been seen and we're told it wasn't important. Definitely don't recommend

I took my pup here after he had a bad reaction to getting neutered. It was just before 3 pm on a Sunday. I took him inside, bleeding everywhere and they said their doctor leaves at 3 and couldn't see us. I went to Northside on 124 and Huron and it was a long wait but they fixed my pup up and will go back to Northside from now on.

Do NOT take your pet there! They are no longer 24/7, their front desk staff are unprofessional, and they lose records.
