If I could give no stars, I would. I've lived in a Cornerstone property for almost 6 months. I pay my rent on time; never late, I have no issues with my neighbors, and I've been pretty proactive with questions or concerns if I have them. I live on the first floor, street level. I completely understood the fact that there would be foot traffic, however there is a gate to the driveway that has been CROWBARRED open so it can't ever be shut, trash flies all over the driveway from the dumpsters (that have cockroaches all over ... read more
I'd give them no stars if I could. This review is for JUX Apartments which is managed by Cornerstone. The place reeks of pot, the neighbors are noisy, the garage door to our supposedly "secure" building has been broken going on a month now and several bikes have been stolen, along with transient people using our garage to charge their phones. Current situation has led me to this review. I lived in the Tamai Tower complex with a resident/friend who has been living there for almost 2 years. I lived in the residence/friends apartment from May 23rd 2017 until I moved into a new location on June 1st 2017. Upon the agreement, the manager at the time had me sign some paperwork, just like any other complex when you sublet. Before I was handed the keys and a fob, I owed $45.00 for my application fee. Cornerstone is Shady I lived in a Cornerstone property for two years. During our stay my roommate and I were phenomenal tenants. We paid on time every single month, we had zero complaints, we did zero damage the property, and we had very few maintenance requests. At the end of our second lease we moved out; right on time just like we were supposed too. Hi Connor, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We really appreciate you being great residents and for cleaning your unit before you moved out. Keeping your deposit is in no way a result of the cleanliness of the unit, but due to the fact that a 30 day notice was not received. Section 9 of your lease titled "Notice to Vacate" states that a 30 day written notice is required if you are moving out. Do not rent from Cornerstone!!!!! Make sure to look over your lease. They will not cover property damage or personal injury from fire, smoke, rain, flood, mold, WATER and PIPE LEAKS, hail, ice, snow, lightening, etc. My apartment roof suffered damage from the hail storm on Monday. The roof developed a leak which flooded through the 2nd story ceiling into my bedroom and then continued to leak into the first floor, damaging my personal property.
