This company is legitimately the worst. Never in my life have I been so disappointed by a management company, for any kind of business. Though our property manager tries, he is incredibly overworked and spread way too thin. He manages close to 20 properties, and it shows. I’ve lived in the building for a long time, and we are counting the days until we can leave. I have watched the building completely fall apart under Cornerstone’s management; it’s sad really. They are constantly cutting corners to try and save a buck, and c... read more
I was mired in debt and needed a fresh start. I had $142,000 in unsecured debts (Card Debts, Personal Loans, and Student Loans) and $96,070 in secured debts (Mortgage Loan and Car Loan). Due to so much pressure from creditors, I and my spouse decided and filed for bankruptcy (Chapter 7). Most of our assets were liquidated in order to settle my creditors. I applied for a car loan afterwards and was turned down as a result of my credit which has dropped drastically (from 599 to 446), and negative items on my credit report (in... read more
Horrible management. Loved with homeless people and needles right outside my door for months. Nothing was done.
Business response:
Hi Daneen, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear you had this experience. As a team we will work on our communication and call to action in order to give you a better living experience in the future. Sincerely, Hannah Tischler (Assistant Portfolio Manager, Cornerstone Apartments)
Welcome to the dog pound. This property is overrun with barking dogs and there's nothing you can do about it. My property manager is now ignoring my emails and calls. He has no issues with my neighbor and their dog waking me up everyday or the fact that it feels like an earthquake is happening when the dogs go crazy above me. I've been denied the right to speak to a supervisor. I've called the corporate office many times but I couldn't speak to anyone other than my property manager who is the one I'm having an issue with.... read more
my portfolio manager has no compassion and zero people skills...

Good value
I don’t know how this place has any good reviews. DONT RENT FROM THEM. I’ve never regretted moving somewhere more than I do now. TERRIBLE accommodations. When I say nothing works I mean it. Elevators, laundry room, my utilities, and ESPECIALLY the plumbing system.
Business response:
"Audrey, I'm sorry to hear that you think the accommodations are terrible. My team and I have been working diligently to ensure the building is clean, functional, and accommodating. We have re-finished the elevators, re-finished the penthouse deck, and invested heavily in the maintenance of our HVAC system to ensure it will function properly. We will also be jetting an entire drain stack of the building this week to prevent plumbing issues and ensuring the plumbing system is working efficiently. Thank you - Kevin Goodman (Po... read more
Big bloated company with deceitful policies. I lived in Cornerstone apartments for a year and a half. Their sales department, maintenance department, and apartments are nice. However, their apartment managers and policies are aimed at getting the most money out of you. Their base rents are reasonable, but they charge you obscene amounts for month to month rent, subletting, and breaking leases. So unless you're ready to sign an 18 month lease and stick to that, steer clear.
Business response:
Hi Rose, I'm sorry to see this review. Cornerstone offers subletting as a more affordable option to break the lease early. When a tenant decides to sublet the apartment, there is a $500.00 fee if the subletter does not sign a new lease. The tenant who sublet your apartment opted to take over the remainder of your lease rather than sign a new one. This option does include the $500.00 sublet fee which was made clear during the process. During a sublet, the tenant is responsible for finding someone to take over the lease and p... read more
Worst service ever,. Since I have moved in to this property management company I have been harassed/bullied and discriminated against. Please do not walk but run as far away from this company as you can. And especially Alyssa
