In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. The service was GREAT for the most part, never did get a water refil or offered one, but seriously might have been because we were all super chatty. The Grizz plate was GREAT! Couldn't eat the country potato's. Not there fault, just didn't care for them. Everything else was epic, and I can't wait to go back.
We enjoyed the food here. The portions were huge and the price was fair. Caleb took great care of us. We'll be back.

Black Bear diner has the most friendliest wait staff and the portion size is huge. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely love to eat here. Kelly was our server and he was very personable and fun. He was super attentive and ensured we had everything we needed.
