In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. I tried this diner only because My 83 year old Mother wanted Cracker Barrel, due to our current COVID 19, I cannot take her out anywhere. Cracker Barrel does not deliver to my side of town, so their restaurant does through Uber Eats, I was very suprised and delighted by the portions but more importantly the taste! And everything was included, even straws and sauce! Highly recommend

Took a trip with the hubby and kids and we ended up breaking down over 3 hours from home. Got a tow to the parts store behind the Mount Shasta Black Bear. Got kids and dog settled into hotel for the night and walked over to the restaurant. It was the longest, most stressful day and the service at this...the original Black Bear Diner was impeccable. The friendly servers, we had Rick at the Las Vegas Diner he was awesome!!!!! The food is amazing, affordable, and it’s our all time favorite place to eat!!! We drive truck and go all over the USA and we look for the Black Bear Diner to eat at!!!!!
