In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. RecommendedI ordered delivery through DoorDash for the first time with BBD, and the food was delicious! Would recommend to a friend. 10/10 mashed potatoes and good ranch for all those ranch fanatics like me! 👏🏻 also - they give you a ton of food for your money.

Ordered some food to be delivered to my house and was pleasantly surprised at how incredible my breakfast was! I had the Volcano, and my goodness it was perfect in every way, and the staff gave me a complimentary brownie 🥺❤️ I am full and happy, thank you all so much!

My husband and I were looking for local during this pandemic, and came across them. Their food was FANTASTIC, and reasonably priced. We got the chicken fried steak family meal, and they included free brownies to thank us for supporting them- which we loved! We own a small bar and grill and know these times are hard. Texas Roadhouse is next door to them, and while there were many cars lined up for their food - those patrons missed out on a real meal provided by Black Bear Diner. Thank you!
