In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedSo our first experience with Black Bear was through Doordash, due to the quarantine. We'd never heard of this place, and were a little annoyed at the pricing of the menu items. In our experience pricier breakfasts are rarely worth it. We were so very wrong. Not only are the portions absolutely massive, I don't think I've ever eaten a better tasting breakfast. love that they're helping the kids in the community with hot breakfast and lunch, also love their curbside pickup. the portions are huge and food is good, will definitely continue to go back.

The best! We got an amazing meal and my baby ate his first brownie which we were given for free. We love it. We'll be back for more, via delivery since we can't go anywhere in this madness. ☺
