My Mom fell right at the end of December right after Christmas, both hips were fractured, and needless to say, we all scared, especially my poor mom!!!! She's in her eighties and never have I seen such a terrified look in her eyes when she was in emergency room awaiting surgery!!! Poor thing, like a little girl scared beyond her wits!!! Thank God her surgery went well, and now the next step, her therapy. To be honest I don't how we even decided on Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare Center, but thank God we did!!!! This is one of the smaller facilities and you really feel like you are a part of the family at Cottonwood! Everyone is super friendly and attentive!!

I am currently a patient at Cottonwood Canyon and I want to share my personal experiences here as I would like anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility for themselves or family/friend to know my intimate first hand knowledge of this facility. So I would give this place a 4.5 because I did so well there. Some of the stench, poor food, and hygiene issues were consistent. Still, i dear friends brought me fresh food almost every day for a month, which was a massive factor for my strength. I believe nutrition is a huge part of healing and health. How extremely blessed and lucky I was for all that nutritional help. (Spouts by the way happens to be 2 blocks away!) I stopped on at Cottonwood to visit a friend. The staff was helpful in finding him. He reported that he was in good hands. He had a private room which had a TV. He was on his laptop when I stopped by, so I assume they have WiFi. The parking lot is small, but there is street parking. I was a bit confused to see all the one star reviews. While this place is not the Hilton it was ok, from what I could see.

I have just spent nine days as a guest at cottonwood canyon healthcare facility. I received such outstanding nursing care, physical and occupational therapy and delicious meals. It is no fun to have to go away from your own home, but when you need assistance this facility ranks for me to receive at least 10 stars. More if I could give them. Whether you need permanent nursing care or rehab ( like for me a broken bone). Cottonwood Canyon is outstanding . Thank you everyone at Cottonwood I will never forget you all.

While every place has their problems, Cottonwood is no exception. But when you talk to the staff and get to know them..they work with you. We had a rocky start when we arrived, but after a time we were able to work together to build a plan for my Mom. Some of the staff are amazing. The therapy department does their jobs well. I will say that the food can be better. And more workers during evening and late night would help.
