purchased a new HVAC system from Cowboys Heating and Air Conditioning in late February 2025 for around $20,000 — and it has been nothing but a nightmare. The first leak was discovered March 8, damaging carpet in one of the bedrooms. I was told the water pump that failed wasn’t part of their system, so I had to replace the carpet myself. A few weeks later (March 30), the system started shutting off. They replaced the water level sensor and said insulation had clogged the drain. If you need a new a/c be careful who you call. I Guess if we hadn’t paid in full we would get the Carrier system we paid for. So don’t do what we did and pay in full, charged it until your system is correct and working correctly. Just a warning for the people, especially senior citizens. We have been done wrong!!!!
We purchased 2 units to be installed totaling $25,000.00, the work included installation outside and inside. The work was scheduled to be between 7am 9am to get a early start because working in the attic gets extremely in the summer months. It was after 9:00 and no one had showed up, and no one called or text with an explanation. I asked for Ariel to come to my house to do the maintenance. Ariel is the ONLY honest tech from Cowboy I have encountered. Two technicians I never saw before came. The same thing that happened the last time Cowboy came out happened again. The two technicians who came started saying that we needed more air space (didn't tell us that when we purchased the AC/Heating unit from Cowboy) for the unit to not overwork. Cowboys AC Tech came and noticed LOW Freon on AC.What did he do ??He started Pumping Freon worth $1,050 without even checking for any LEAKS.I called another company and Tech found Evaporator COIL LEAK.This Company is just Scamming Seniors.
Tech arrived on time. Did not perform service as stated on the invoice. “Cleaned coils inside and out”. The old dead grass and leaves in my unit say otherwise.
