Every Volvo car comes designed to be among the best cars on the road. Many competitors try to play up their 'race-inspired' performance, ignoring the existence of speed limits. Many European car companies try to promote style over substance. Volvo cars are modest and straightforward: they are safe, comfortable and smooth.

While looking for a new luxury sedan I made the mistake of contacting Volvo of Dallas. I ended up buying an Acura. Here it is, two weeks after my purchase, and I'm getting unending calls from this disgrace of a dealership, from arrogant salesmen whom I've told numerous times that I've already bought a new vehicle and to please quit calling. I guess this is how Volvo of Dallas mets out punishment for those who dare buy anything but a Volvo. I'll bet sitting down with them to hammer out a deal is a real pleasant experience. N... read more
I've researched my potential purchases regarding make, model, options, condition and price and narrowed it down to 2 vehicles. I went to 4 different locations. The last stop was Volvo of Dallas in Frisco. I arrived on a rainy day and walked into the building and then walked out before anyone approached me. I was looking for a V70 that they had advertised. They just received the vehicle and was putting it through the paces. I looked it over but didn't have the options I was looking for. The sales person Tae An then proc... read more
Each time my wife took our Volvo in for repair service she was recommend a tremendous amount of "necessary" repairs. Having a background in auto repair from years ago, I would call in to question the recommendations, they would almost always turn out to be suggested "future" maintenance options. THIS PLACE IS DISHONEST" and "EXPENSIVE" - Get your Volvo fixed anywhere else! When I comparison shopped with the other Volvo dealerships and quoted the prices from Frisco, they actually laughed and said they understood and would tak... read more
I wouldn't buy anything from these people. I just bought a car and they waited until I bought the car and had it delivered to tell me they lost the spare key. I asked the GM about it and he said it's not something they have to disclose. It costs $300 and takes 2 days to get a new key as they have to order it and reprogram the car and the other key so they all work together. I wonder what else they failed to disclose?? These people are scum and Pedro is an a** for not taking responsibility for this.
I purchased my 1996 Volvo 960 from the dealer in Berkeley, CA and they have provided excellent service for over 15 years. I was staying with relatives in the Dallas area, and my car needed a 150K service. I schedule the appt. with Volvo of Dallas, the only dealer within 25 miles, and asked them to check the air conditioner, which was sporadically blowing hot. Volvo of Dallas staff were very nice and provided a loaner car while my car was being serviced. The service was completed, no issues reported, and the air condition... read more
This dealership practices deceptive sales methods. I negotiated a price for a used vehicle. When I came back the next day to sign papers with my wife the price had magically jumped $1000. Their response was "... well that's just what you offered.. we never agreed... we couldn't possibly do that deal...". I reiterated that they already had my best offer and I felt like they were trying pulling a fast one. We got up and left. After reading the reviews here I'm glad we walked. Probably would have got screwed on financing or... read more
This car dealership treats customers horribly. Had a verbal deal with a salesman on a used car with a deposit applied and they sold the car out from under me (most likely for a higher price). Horrible business, I will never approach this car dealer for any future purchase, and would recommend you do the same.
Since all of these incidents, my car's turbo somehow blew ($1,000). A month later, I took in the car to have an alignment done, and I was told that the alignment could not be done because my rear control arm bushings were rotted ($700). The car has been maintained and garage-kept since I bought it. While bushings will likely need to be replaced eventually, it is unbelievable to me that this would happen in just 6 years to a garage-kept car. I opted to not have the bushings changed just yet, but I'm appalled by the quality of... read more
walked in to look at a car that I saw on their used car website. Could not find the car in the lot. Walked into the showroom and waited for 10 minutes without anyone approach me. Finally the lady at the information desk came back and asked her for a sales associate. I enquired about the vehicle I was interested and the guy went back to check on it since it was not on the lot. Came back and said that it has just been sold and the contract is being written up. Then he goes one step more and tells me that I can still buy the c... read more
