I have given your structural report to my realtor but was not taken well. It appears that your report killed my contract with my buyer. In your report you said that: "The gutter system is inadequate and needs improvement". There is no improvement needed because there isn't one. So, you recommend installing system with downspouts extension. This home has not moved in forty years and now it needs gutters. Where did you guys come up with that. Not all homes need gutters. Do you work for the gutter companies? Do you want to also... read more

To start off the reception clerks are extremely rude, condescending, and abrupt. They definitely need to brush up their customer service skills. The inspection was conducted by an underling who basically just took elevation readings around the house and walked away within 28 minutes. This process according to them was supposed to take an hour and a half. They are now trying to make me pay for a report which they have not even given me. Utterly unprofessional, inept and would definitely not recommend this company.

We hired Crosstown for a foundation inspection of our home. Crosstown sent out a representative, Daniel, to do the inspection. The report was turned around quickly at least. Daniel completed the work, although he was very rude and condescending. We were then given a engineering report stamped by Adam Green, someone that had never stepped into our house. I'm curious to know what credentials Daniel has. Overall, this was a poor service.

I told the lady on the phone before making the appointment that I need a professional who can give me detailed information about my foundation and not just a basic measurement and a visual, and the same goes for my drainage system. And that I may need to use this information in court.

Adam did a great job going over our foundation to help justify the piers we would need installed. I have been dealing with this nightmare since November 2018, and after Adam came by today, I finally see light at the end of the tunnel. Make sure you get an independent engineer to tell you how many piers you need before hiring a foundation company to do it. I would call out about four different foundation companies for estimates as well.

Business response:

Thank you for your awesome review! We are so happy to hear that you were pleased with the service and got the answers you needed through the foundation engineering inspection and report process. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions in the future.

Adam arrived on time. Spent about an hour inside taking measurements and outside checking drainage and cracks in brick veneer. Comprehensive report with specific recommendations received next day via email. Truthful assessment. My Dallas TX home is combination pier/beam (63 yr) and concrete slab (45 yr). Slab showing signs of needing support only. Fee reduction since I paid by check. I can now get accurate quotes.

Business response:

Hi Ellen, we are happy that we could provide you with peace of mind that you have an accurate engineering report for your foundation repairs since you have such a unique home. Just give us a call/email when you need your post-repair inspection and we will make sure the work was completed well.

I gave a low rating because I hired this company to help me make a cost efficient decision regarding the foundation of my home. I explained my situation to the engineer, and his professional opinion was very high dollar based on the schematic he developed. I sent his paperwork to a few foundation repair companies, and one contacted me saying he disagreed with the recommendation and spoke to another engineer at Crosstown and the engineer agreed with him. I then spoke to this other engineer myself and he told me the same thing... read more

I suspected I might need some foundation work. The SE was on time and explained what he would be doing to complete his evaluation. After finding a water leak, rather than recommend immediate foundation work, he recommended another evaluation in 4 months after the leak was repaired. With any luck, I will not need foundation work. I appreciate the non-biased evaluation.

Business response:

Awesome! We are glad you are happy.
