2 of the steaks ordered medium came out rare. Took waitress 10 minutes to return. Steaks were cooked longer and had more sear but still rare. Very little to no seasoning on steaks. Pricey meal for service and taste. Salad and sides were very good. This restaurant consistently gets bad reviews, but it's always crowded so thought we'd try it out. Quite a terrible experience.
I was here for a large family gathering, maybe 100 people. The restaurant did a terrible job of coordinating the meal. By that, I mean they put out chafing dishes of food and then walked away. Worse still, even though we paid for more people than showed up, they ran out of food before all the guests were served. The food we did get was ok to good, with the beef being the best. Arrived around 7pm on a Sunday here's my take: Structure- the building is very large and is going for the "log cabin lodge look" lots of wood, dead animals on the walls etc. There are "sections" of the restaurant with each one having its own small bar or saloon which was pretty cool. Came here for Valentine's Day. Menu was limited for good reason, but the portions were small, cold, and about twice the price of what the meal was worth IMO. 20 % gratuity was tacked on automatic. It just wasn't worth it. Staying at home next Valentine's Day and grilling my own entrees.
We had dinner here last night. Not sure where to begin but so many things went wrong. First of all, the hostess seated us but apparently didn't tell a waiter. So no one brought us water or menus. Finally my husband walked to the bar to ask for something to drink and to tell them we needed menus. Our waiter apologized and was very nice. However, the food was the most disappointing. There were 8 of us. 4 of us had okay meals, the rest were terrible. 2 filets were raw and sent back, came back the same way, should have been medium well. Pork chop was very dry. Kids chicken tenders were so salty you could not eat them. Spoke to the manager and he said I will give you something off and a desert. Waitress only came by once. At the end we got charged for the so called free dessert, 3 extra drinks were on the bill and $50 taken off of a $600 bill! Will never go here again!! Had reservations at 7. Got there and was turned away because I had my child. Very disappointed. Place looked nice, management should regroup. This is Texas.
We had dinner with a group of friends last night, I do not think that the quality matches the price. I ordered the 7 ounce fillet, it was thin and not very flavorful. For $45 I feel like it should be an extremely nice cut of meat. The baked potato that came with it was stone cold, I did send it back and they did bring me a hot one. Underwhelming. Live band was good playing the radio in the background at the same time bad. Jumbo crab cake bad all filler no real grab fins and gills. My wife got the petite filet and fried lobster. Figured out what the smell was but the filet was the size of a half dollar. Service SLOOOOOW 2 hours for 2 people restaurant wasn't that busy. Steak ok. Did I eat it yes was it good not bad.
