We were on the road and thought this would be an "ok " experience. Instead it was phenomenal. The bar service and blood orange old fashioned by the bar tender whose name I have forgotten (see blood Orange old fashioned) was amazing. Dinner was fantastic. Our waiter Nathan was incredible. I can't say enough about what a delightful surprise this evening was! 5+ stars from us!!
We ate here in the 80's and it was casual, different menu - I remember it as being really good. We ate here tonight for the first time in seems like forever. It was GREAT! The server (Douglas) was truly amazing - he took such good care of us. The bread - oh my...it was so good, warm and tasty. The salads and sides - equally as good. The steaks were seasoned just right, slightly under-cooked at first but fixed quickly, and the Creme Brûlée - you just have to get it...but don't eat too much bread or you won't have room for it.... read more
We had dinner on October 17th with the brother in-law and sister in-law. I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was absolutely amazing to us. It came up while conversating with her that my husband has brain cancer, she apologized and walked away. We continued and dinner was fantastic. It's time for the check and when we were looking over it, Culpepper's comped mine and my husbands meal and wish us hope and for healing of my husbands cancer. If I could give Culppers more stars I would!!! They hosted our wedding ceremony and dinner and everything was absolutely PERFECT! Jeremiah (manager) went way and beyond to make sure we were well-taken care of. The wait staff was absolutely amazing to all of our guests. Every one of our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was! Thank you Jeremiah for everything! OUR wedding was perfect!
I want to thank Culpepper's for hosting my post engagement party. After the fact, I found out that they stayed open waaaaaaaaay past business hours to host my family and friends for dinner. The staff was so friendly and nice I didn't even realize they were working late, and the food was amazing. They kept the kitchen open almost an extra 2 hours. This place will always have a tender place in my heart, and a soft spot in my tummy! Whatever you do, don't not get the lobster Mac and cheese!
This place is amazing! The customer service is hands down the best I've had in a very long time. I went by this place on a whim, I saw the sign that said they closed at 9, but my future son in law was proposing to my daughter at 8:15 at the lighthouse at the lake (with pictures etc. we weren't going to make it to the restaurant until 9).
