Super unwelcoming restaurant, it's giving racist maybe ????????????? When arrived hostess said there were no tables available for our party of 8 which you would think they normally give you a wait time to accommodate and when asked again all of the sudden a 1 hour wait? I was excited to try this place because I'd rather this than another faceless big box, but until they raise the bar and run this location properly I'm sorry 2 stars is it. You're certainly not paying 2 star prices. We came on a Sunday and ordered off the menu, I'll start with the good bits, the meatballs were great, very tasty. Had a 5 star experience last November with great food and service so I wanted to take my wife for our anniversary. Food was terrible and service was mediocre. We might try it one more time since we had such a great experience the first tim.

We have been frequent customers of the Culpeppers in Rockwall. Normally, we sit at the bar and have a nice dinner With friendly bartenders and servers. Tonight we experienced a loud vulgar disruptive man at the bar. Inexcusable! Even the staff cringed at his comment, volume and vulgarity! Really??? Love Culpeppers..,BUT, the new outdoor area??? GET FANS!!!! We live in Texas y'all. It's just the beginning of June and at 7:00 in the evening my entire party was drenched. Stayed till the party ended at 9:00 and it was hotter than h@&@!!! Can't imagine July or August!!! 4-$50. Fans guys!!!! EASY FIX!!!! AND outside is where the band is. If I could give this place a zero star I would between service and food. $18 for like 8-10 pieces of calamari is a rip off for potion and taste was underwhelming. My husband got the double bone pork chop and I got the steak burger and both of our meals were so under seasoned. My burger was also so drenched in sauce it destroyed the bun and I couldn't pick it up to eat it. Very disappointed from the time we were seated to the time we left. I frequented Culpeppers in 2002-2005 and also when I moved back in 2011-2013 and it was an upscale place. After moving away for 13 years I came back and it was 180 degrees from what they were known for: great quality food, upscale ambiance, absolute professional service and great presentation of their menu. We went there for my husband's birthday and I'm so disappointed in the quality of food they serve now. It used to be a great place for a steak. If you look at the reviews, the recent ones are not very good. The ones from years past were very good. We had steak and lobster. My husband's steak was semi good and he liked the lobster. 20% automatic tip for parties of 6 or more???? Ambiance is meh... dated for newer locations in the area. Food was meh... but prices on the menu for hard ass chairs and mid era bar type tables to sit at do not equate to 5 star steakhouse prices.
